The belt won't stay tight. I wore it for about a week and it got worse every day. So I returned it. At least Scheels has a good return policy.

Poor quality, do not purchase.
If there were zero stars I’d mark that. The belt catch doesn’t hold. Had to keep tightening it. Rear belt clip doesn’t hold either. Fell in the toilet numerous times. I purchased 2 and they both had the same problem. I purchased three military style web belts, made in Taiwan, at a surplus store for $12 and one of them work better than 2 Carhartt’s. I expected better.

Sad day.
As many people have said, this belt is a great idea but doesn’t stay tight, any bit of movement and it loosens. I was hoping that it worked because I’m tired of buying belts that don’t last.
Not what you would expect from carhartt

Terrible, terrible belt
This belt is absolutely terrible. It doesn't perform its sole function. It does not stay tight at all, unless you don't move. If you stand up, sit down, cough, sneeze, fart, laugh, or engage your core muscles at all for anything, the belt just loosens, and you can hear it slip. I have tried to modify it to function correctly and it still fails. So at this point I can't even return it.
Besides not staying tight, there are a few other issues. The webbing is super stiff and about an inch and a half wide so it can dig into your hips and/or torso. If this would hold my pants up with any regularity I could see this issue going away as the belt got broken in, but I'll never know.
The other issue I had was the end of the webbing that slides through the "buckle" had a metal piece pressed onto the end. The metal had sharp, square edges that kind of dug into me for the first few minutes after tightening (and all subsequent re-tightenings). I cut this off, rounded the end with some scissors, and melted the frayed end with a lighter so the webbing wouldn't unravel. This fix solved that problem, but didn't help with the belt starying tight.
This is all such a shame because it's a decently good looking belt, and I bought it because I've really liked everything else I own from Carhartt. I assume that they spent time money and effort designing and engineering this belt, but someone should be fired for letting this poor excuse for a belt hit the sales floor. This experience has eroded what used to be rock solid trust in the brand. Take this back to the drawing board and try again.
I would highly recommend staying away from this belt, even if it's somehow free. I'm sure some of their other belt offerings are fine, but this model is just dumpster fodder.

Don't Buy. Poor Design. Fundamentally Incorrect and Will Not Function as a Belt.
This is the worst belt I have ever owned. I was lured in by the style, but the belt has many fundamental flaws. First, the buckle. The buckle locking mechanism is designed in a manner where you need to rotate it towards your stomach to engage the lock on the webbing. Because of the length of the lever that locks and the motion in which it locks, it simply comes undone as you bend over and your stomach pushes the locking mechanism open. Even if this lock worked correctly, the thickness of the webbing and its rigidity do not allow the lock mechanism to bite the belt. This means that even if you do successfully manage to lock the belt it ends up just slipping through. Very, very poor design. I don't see how any belt with this current design would work. Back to the drawing board, Carhartt. I'm disappointed.

Looks Great, Doesn't Function Well
Purchased this at a TSC (Has a Carhartt "store within a store" model) and I loved it at first. I thought I had finally found a belt that would work for me! After about a week the "buckle" no longer stays clamped, defeating the purpose of wearing a belt.

How did this get to the market. THis is useless. Bought it in store, thought i was doing something wrong but now reading these reviews, confirmed this is a major design flaw and junk. Surprised Scheels is selling it.
