Keeps you dry on rainy days. Doesn't stick to you on warm rainy days.
Keeps you dry and on warm days you do not sweat in it. Very good quality. Fit is accurate. I think the price is a little high but then again I did buy one. I have it 4 stars only because it's a little pricey.
Wow. As with most things Carhartt, suits it's intended purpose just about perfectly. If I'm going to criticize, for that kind of money I might make the shell thicker or out of a material a little less likely to tear on sharp edges. I work construction and I would have to be just a little cautious around metal edges. However, I liked mine so much I immediately turned it into a non work going out in any kind of weather jacket. I really, really like it. Thinking about buying a second one for rainy days at work.
Bought this for my husband for work - although he’s currently furloughed, he says it’s great material. He loves the cuddles sleeve and likes the fact that he can pull the string tighter when I’m harder water. He’s a coal miner and stays freezing underground so we’re hoping this helps but will have to wait to see when he goes back to work! He seems to think it will be a great improvement in his work conditions.
Love the quality and the functionality of the jacket, but the small is to small and the large is to large, Bummer I really wanted to keep it. I had to return it on both sizing attempts. Customer service was excellent>
Far and above what I expected. I used this to take the place of a nice rain jacket from another brand for field geology purposes and it’s suites me perfectly. I got the XLT and it’s slightly bigger than I expected but the extra room is welcome for layers since the jacket isn’t lined. Highly recommended for all!
This jacket is well made and though I didn't get rained on, I believe it will withstand and repel water very well looking at the material construction. Also, very good for brisk cool weather. I'm very happy with this jacket and would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay dry and warm in Washington rainy weather !!
Fantastic jacket. I’m 5’9, 155 lbs and the sz. large fits perfectly. Quality of construction is excellent and removable hood is roomy enough to comfortably wear a ball cap underneath. Cuffs are an excellent design with an unusual angled cut that partially covers the back of the hand, offering protection from the elements while not constricting manual dexterity. Highly recommended.
This jacket is perfect, keeps the water out but very breathable so I don't over heat. I ordered an XL and it seems to be a tad baggy compared to some other XL's. I'm 5'11 225lbs-235lbs depending on day so I'm not too skinny lol. Two friends have bought this after my review and now the wife wants one.
Looks and fits great. Also bought a different one for him to work on the ranch with.
Bought this for my Son in Law for his birthday. He's got stolen at a restaurant a couple mos back. Since this wasn't the right one I also ordered the same one that was stolen. This one is great but not for working on the ranch. But wears it out to town ect.
I just got the jacket and have worn it a few times in the rain, wind and rather cool spring air (mid 40's) and found the jacket to be warm and dry, yet light weight. So far I'm very satisfied. looks good, fit good. heavy duty zipper and cuff liners extra sweet.
This is my second Shoreline jacket...my first was stolen and I was lost without it! Now my replacement has arrived and I am happy again! Best weatherproof jack out there!!! I travel all over the country with this jacket!!
I bought this jacket because I love the Cryder so much, but can't wear the Cryder often in Hawaii[too warm, but great for cold nor-cal weather].. The shorline is much lighter, very comfortable, and is truly waterproof! The day I received it, I tested it out in a heavy, heavy downpour. It kept me dry as a cracker! I've also received numerous complements on it's looks, and I've only ever worn it about 3 times so far. I love this jacket so much, I went and bought one each for my son and daughter.
I bought this jacket and a pair of pants for working out in the rain at a golf course as a groundskeeper. I'm 6'4" and 240 with a longer than average torso and ware a size 2XL TALL. I'm also able to ware a hoodie underneath without feeling real scrunched and restricted. The jacket always kept me dry even when it was downpour. As far as warmth goes, when it was one of them soaker, kind of rainy days with no sun, I was able to where just the jacket and felt cool, but not cold. I would typically layer with one hoodie and felt comfortable. If it was a repeating passing shower day with the sun peaking out now and then, I only wore just the jacket and was comfortable for the most part until I was in the direct sun for longer than 30+- minutes then I had to take it off. When the sun was covered by the clouds I was comfortable. When I wore the jacket I wasn't doing anything real physical generally, I was typically sitting on a mower. Yes, you will mow in the rain at a golf course, some times you gotta do what you gotta do. Reel mowers cut differently than rotary mowers, thus they handle cutting wet grass differently.
One hellva a coat! Do alot of fishing on Great Lakes in the spring! Stay dry and warm! Luv it... have the bibs to go with it...perfect! Really didn’t think Carhart had stuff this cool ?? would highly recommend both items!!
