I've had these boots since winter 2018. They still look great from the day I bought them (minus the worn tread). I've seen a few reviews about durability but mine haven't had any issues. Just like any other leather boot, if you waterproof them and take care of them with mink oil or the Crispi boot oil they will last. The rock and shale out in Western states will wear them down faster but that happens to every boot brand I've tried.
I bought these for upland hunting. I was looking for a lightweight boot with great tread. A friend of mine had a pair of un-insulated crispis of another model and liked them so I have these a try. The tread is awsome, I walk much better now. They are waterproof as I have crossed creeks and walked in snow. The pad in the sole wicks away sweat. My feet will sweat and be moist for 20 minutes or so after walking and then they are dry. $100 was the most I had to get spent on a pair of boots before these and o couldn’t be happier. I wear them for every kind of hunting I’ve done since I purchased them in November.
Sneaker comfortable right out of the box. Wore them pheasant hunting in 10 degree weather with light snow. Feet were pleasant all day and traction was decent.
Boots are very comfortable out of the box and have been great for cold weather hikes and snow shoeing. The insulation isn't overbearing and I wore them in my home for about a week and feet never became sweaty and in cold temps (20F) my feet stayed warm while active; however, I wouldn't choose these for my deer stand boot in those same temps (while inactive). I bought these for an elk hunting trip in October of 2021, can't wait to use them!
These boots are light weight, fairly easy to break in, very comfortable, waterproof, and warm . The problem I have is the toe box is a little wide for me I normally wear 10.5 medium so I wander if I got size 10 they would fit better but I'm very well satisfied
Great boots!! Seem to run a little big.. seems like I should have gotten a 1/2 size smaller. Very roomy in the toe box Ankle support is not as good as the Colorado’s!
I USED MY NEW CRISPI BOOTS ON FRIDAY BLACK TAIL HUNTING THEY WORKED VERY WELL I HAVE OWNED CRISPI BOOTS FOR SEVRAL YEARS THEY HAVBE WORKED VERY WELL IN SNOW WATER STEEP TERRIAN IN NEWZEALAND. AS WELL AS CANADA ARKANSAS ARIZONA AND OTHER STATES
I put 41 miles on these boots in the high country of Colorado over that past 4 days. I did not get one blister or hot spot and my feet were never sore. When the boots first arrived, I did have a little heel slip, but I replaced the insoles with the SuperFeet Trailblazer and the slippage went away. Other reviews have suggested that breaking the boots in and / or lacing them up differently than the common method will also eliminate heel slip without the need to buy insoles. Overall, the boots are great, and kept my feet warm in temperatures in the low 30s, but we not too warm when temps rose into the 60s.
Would give 0 stars if possible. I wore these on 5-6 hikes to break them in, each about an hour long, then wore them on a sheep hunt in the Wrangells. After about a week of hiking the seams near the heel started to blow out, and after the hunt was over, both boots had blown out seams. Then Crispi wanted me to pay to send them to a cobbler in Utah to fix them. If you want a pricey pair of boots that lasts less than a week of real use, look no further. If you want some real hiking/hunting boots then please don't waste your money on these.
Blown out seams after a week and a half of hiking.
Incredible boots! I have a narrow heel and ankle but also have a fairly wide forefoot. I put a pair of lathrup and sons synergy foot beds in them and they are perfect for me! Boots are just as they are advertised with a narrower heel and wider toe box!!
