Very very comfortable.
I have a hard time with finding the right boot but these were by far the most comfortable boot I've ever tried! Very very little break in needed. Wore them for a day around the office before a 10 day Wyoming hunt and they were very comfortable with great support.

Great boots! Feet stayed dry and warm and have great traction with no heel slip hiking mountains.

First time wearing my new boots i got a pretty good blister in my arch. Got to looking at them and the insole was creased. Talked to crispi and they sent a new pair of insoles. I'm hoping this will cure the issue. I bought the same exact boots 2 years ago and haven't had any issues with them. They Definitely don't seem to be the same quality as they were 2 years ago.

Worth every ounce & $
Crispi West River II 400GTX boots.
Strongly recommend. Worth every penny and once. I bought these boots at Scheel’s specifically for an Alaska Brooks Range caribou hunt. They did an excellent job for me. I daily covered 4-6 miles on wet arctic tundra tussocks and rocky ridges. These boots are waterproof. Break them in first and use a waterproofing treatment on the leather after you have worked the leather on several hikes. They are heavier than most of my boots but provided excellent ankle support. I always used trekking poles for stability. Packing out parts of 3 caribou bulls without these would have probably resulted in a broken ankle. I carried up to 80 lbs. in my pack and these boots provided excellent support. I used gaiters but on at least 2 occasions forded streams over the tops of my gaiters, getting my boots wet. They are thick and dry slowly. We were in a remote drop camp and my only option to dry them out was constantly changing to dry socks to soak up the moisture. I also tried the Kenetrek Mountain Extreme boots but found the Crispi West River II 400GTX boots comparable, less expensive, and significantly more comfortable for my feet. Scheels was excellent on letting me swap the Kenetreks for the Crispis.

When walking they pinch my foot right across the top of my foot behind my toes.

Boots are amazing, only thing I can say bad is the first time you Where them in the hills don’t put on 20 miles it’ll hurt your feet. That was my break in period. After that they have been amazing

Great customer service & good product!
Boots were great! The first pair was a size too small, but customer service was great! They had me a new pair shipped in a day or two.

This boot is made for the masses who haven’t experienced an excellent boot. I wouldn’t reorder.
Good boot. This has a large toe box which is great if you don’t like having the front of your foot smashed like so many other boots. The fit is true to size length wise but fits more like a wide size compared to other boots including Crispi which I have 3 other different pairs of so don’t order if you have a narrow foot. They could be so much better with just a few extra features like better lacing tightness control between the forefoot and ankle, a dual density soul for more comfort, one more eyelet on the ankle and Crispi’s ankle locking system. A few more bucks would make this boot excellent with so much more comfort and performance.

sole peeled from the toe after 3 uses
This was my first time buying what I consider an expensive pair of boots because I was tired of boots not lasting long. I was excited to get them, decided to reserve them solely for important trips to me. I used them on 2 backpacking trips last fall, once this spring and once again here recently, totaling 4.5 weeks of use on the trail.

This spring the toes looked almost as if they were starting to peel off but I didn't know for sure and thought surely a nice pair of crispi's wouldn't be doing that. I ignored it and to my surprise these past two weeks while hiking they began to peel back more. It's like there was no glue ever put in place properly and the soles look like they are now going to start to peel back.

It was 13 mo that I realized they were peeling, and with only 80 miles hiked in them, I contacted crispi. Basically they said sorry not sorry. Last pair of of heavy and clunky crispis I'll ever own.

Great ankle support
These boots appear very well made. I’ve hiked in them a couple of times now to break them in and they have great ankle support and a tough midsole so you don’t really feel rocks and roots pressuring the bottoms of your feet.
