I bought the pronghorn 800 and the Fit was just exactly right I tried several other brands to get a lighter weight also and came back to danner And bought the alsea 400 when they arrived I tried them on in the fit was perfect lots of toe room I was surprised so I knew I was going to keep them I took them and soak them in the bath tub for about 5 minutes then I covered them after drying with mink oil I put them on and went for at 45 minute walk and they were very comfortable the next day I wore them while mowing on the tractor for several hours they basically felt like comfortable tennis shoes I'm not kidding they are very true to fit with surprising toe roam very comfortable I'd give them more than 5 stars if I could
I was looking for a waterproof insulated boot with enough height to basically use for snow removal. The 8" height, 400g of insulation & Gore-Tex lining all exceeded my expectations. The comfort of the boots was an added bonus. Extremely satisfied & would highly recommend!
Great boot !! Perfect fit;and nice and warm. Super for tracking through the last two twenty inch snow storms in northern Wisc. Then again it is what Danner is noted for.nothing but Danners for this guys feet.
Very comfortable right out of the box....I put ten mile of extreme hiking on them. There was snow water and mud where I was hunting they gripped great....I would buy them again...thank you .....Jonathan Murphy
Used on Colorado elk hunt hiking and a horseback worked great. 18 degrees in the morning feet got cold after standing for an hour. I figured they would with only 400 gram insulation. Mostly bought these for archery season where there is more hiking involved
