I've worn lace up work shoes on my farm for 50 yrs. tried to buy good shoes, break them down on inside as my dad did. I only had one pair of pull on boots and wasn't happy, many years ago. Because it is so painful to tie shoes because of grinding in knees and shoulder plus I have 3 lower vertabraes fusing I pursued until I found Danner. I researched and found the Danner Crafter Wellington the best for knees and back. The support rep when I called in agreed. I never had a shoe feel this good right off the bat. I couldn't be happier, the lining lets them slide on and off. The Airthotic heel fits my narrow heal to a T, I made a couple boot hooks to pull on. Now Danner and I have to find a slip on low work shoe for the farm in summer when wearing shorts!
That's last three pairs of Danners I have bought the soles squeak when you walk these are the the best of the 3 but still squeak when walking, the Romeos that I just also bought squeak pretty bad and the Lookout station office are so bad that I quit wearing them except for work outside at home, because of the noise they make, everyone in a store looks at you, like what's going on with your shoes, kind of embarrassing you think?
I have a wideish foot so I got the EE and I have never had a boot for so good! Also the insole feels like fresh gel every time I put it on. Already been through a few creeks and it stayed waterproof and did exactly what I wanted
I received these boots 2 weeks ago, and was surprised how good they felt, however the second day wearing them they developed a noise in the heel, now 2 weeks of wearing them it sounds like im walking on bubble wrap with every step. These are my first pair of Danners and will be my last.
The boots were ok until about 8hrs in my 10hr day....the heel is to tight for me... Tried to wear next day hurt my feet all day...Tried a third day took boots off at first break...have not worn since...boots should never hurt...I heard good things about Danner boots...not true on my pair..
