Eyelets detached from the boot, and they ran a little narrow.
Four stars because the customer support was good and easy to work with. They seemed good other than the issues with the eyelets.

I LOVE these!
I've seen several people complaining about the "stiffness" in the ankles, but that stiffness is merely good support. These boots have the sturdiness of the DFA (by far my favorite pair of Danners; I scooped up a second pair when I saw they'd been discontinued and they will wait in my closet until the others wear out). I own 6 pairs of Danners, including Pronghorns, 917 Tramlines, etc., and love them, but I have struggled with their military footwear. My green Tanicus took ages before they stopped pinching, and I had to pass the Scorch on to someone else because the fit was so off. And both of them had no ankle support. I was hesitant to try a military boot again, but I'm so glad I did. The Incursions are super comfy, hug my feet, and look good. Ankle support is vital in a boot, at least for me, so these are a win!

Leaves something to be desired.
Coming from several pairs of Workman GTX, these boots are kind of a let down. The leather gets cut and abraded with minimal wear (~2 weeks of wear and work, they look well worn, maybe that's your thing?). My biggest issue comes from the noise they make. I cannot move my ankle/foot without the boots creaking. My current assignment is largely in an office area and I cringe every time I leave the desk. If you're stationed in an area that requires ear plugs, probably not an issue, unless you're tip toeing around the house early in the morning before work. I'm headed back to a more traditional boot.

Besides the quick wearing look and noise, they're fairly comfortable. Not the best, definitely not the worst. BTW, the slate grey comes across as green/grey in person.

I bought mine for tree work...mostly ground stuff, but also for spikeless climbing when pruning, as there is no heel on this species.. I had a "low top" pair of these, several years ago...and got two seasons out of them.. Right now, I would say their biggest drawback is the Two-Hundo price tag...but that's the lay of the land, in Work footwear..

Love the boots so far.
Love the boots so far. My last pair lasted 3 years and still have some life left in them. Will make good lawn boots. I have always been able to count on Danner boots. Once I found them it’s been my go to brands for over 25 years. Hard to find size 15 boots in stock anywhere. I know I can buy them and they will fit every time.
