Over ten years ago, Danner released the very first Quarry work boot. Since then, it has become a staple for workers around the country. And now, for the first time, they've brought manufacturing of the Quarry, using imported parts, to their Portland, Oregon, factory, at the same time making major improvements to its comfort and durability.

These are my third pair. I get a couple years of daily use per pair. I like them for the ankle support. The laces don’t last but a couple months. But after market laces are better. Wish they were a bit wider. I farm and work both inside and outside.
I have been very happy with these boots so far. I’m a construction surveyor and these boots boots give me the comfort, traction, and stability that I haven’t been able to find in previous work boots. The boots look great and haven’t been taking too long to break in. I upgraded to the DXT comfort insoles and they’ve been great. I highly recommend these boots to any other surveyors or construction workers looking for boots. They’re worth every penny-Don’t let the price deter you.
Third pair of Quarries I’ve owned. I work asphalt construction and walk several miles a day in extreme heat, wet and gritty conditions, I would get 1 season from other boots but I get three seasons from a pair of Danners. Comfortable right out of the box. Very little break in.
I am giving the boot 4 stars....... they feel great, look great...... but I am concerned about durability. Have only worn them for a week now and there are some pretty significant gouges in the leather around steel toe. I am just a normal guy not doing anything real extreme. I was surprised at the amount of scuffing, with such short term usage.... if they last for a while I would change to 5 stars
Bought these boots after much review. I am a lineman and working in all conditions from snow to rain to summer heat is the normal. Very comfortable boot and has great support. Not your typical climbing boots but are definitely comfortable with a set of hooks on climbing poles. Was hesitant to buy but will be returning to this boot for next pair as long as they hold out well. Great boot!
Only had them in use for little over a week. Comfort and support are stellar. I’ve been taking it easy on them in the mining business so, I haven’t been able to check durability, yet. I’ve got a pair of Danner Hunting boots that are 15 years old and they are still kicking so lets hope they can do the same.
I'm a professional beekeeper and these shoes make me feel like I'm walking on feathers all day.I never have to think about my feet while I'm working. I generally get about 3 years out of each pair of boots. I generally wear these shoes 6 days a week. I'm very impressed with the craftsmanship and that Danner manufactures them in the U.S. Thank you Danner for maintaining the high standards for these boots all of these years.
Boots were delivered in a very timely fashion. I had to get the steel toe for my job and the tow is slightly too narrow. Rest of the boot fits just right though. They broke in fast, really fast. The biggest issue I have is the “waterproof” on day 3 my feet were wet, very wet. Oh well though.
Once broken in they feel great , break in didn’t take long I highly suggest wearing around the house for a few days for about 15-30 minutes at a time to assist in breaking in before putting in a full shift with them . The top eyelits take a little getting used to , after a month I have noticed the lower laces have slightly started to fray a bit which seems to be because the lower eyelits are cutting into the laces a bit . The foot bed is very comfortable on the feet , I spend the day climbing in and out of a machine and the boots are holding up well .
Great boots. These are the only boots that I don’t even notice that they are a safety toe. I can wear these on 24 hour stints at work and never have sore feet. They last about a year and they stay waterproof for around 6 months. They usually start to leak between the sole and upper but I’ll keep buying because of how comfortable they are
Wanted to like these but I’m giving them 2 stars. My left knee aches as soon as I put them on. I’ve never had that problem with any other boot. They look very well made and are nice looking boots but they are not for me.
Definitely worth the money. I had pair of danners when I was in the Marines, I wore them for 2 years while i was in and 2 more once i got out. I bought these boots because they look similar to my old military boots and I was hoping they were as comfortable. So far I'm not disappointed, I love them. Will buy again.
Well made boot so far. Only had a short time but they fit true to size on my feet 10EE. Well worth the money. Customer service at Danner was very friendly and professional and well knowledgeable about the boots and able to answer all of my questions.
4th pair in 10 years. Best boots I’ve ever owned. I’m in concrete much of the day and I don’t hurt at the end of it. Solid construction. The only think that wears out are the toes because I’m in my knees working a lot but there is not much Danner can do about that. That being said they last pair still lasted 2 years with that abuse. Money well spent.
Very well made, pretty comfortable from the start but take some time to break in fully. This is my second pair, the first ran 7 years will with one re-craft. Looking forward to them getting good and broke in. Proud to wear an american made boot.
