Haven’t used them yet. However the quality and fit are great! If I had to nitpick I wish the width was a little wider (EE), I have a slightly wider than average shoe size. So if you have really wide feet these may not fit.
At 50 years old I can say that these are by far the best boots to ever go on my feet. You get what you pay for and these are in a league of their own and worth every penny spent. Supreme materials and quality of craftsmanship. Easy break in, soft and supple. ( note though, I bought mine one half size bigger and in a EE ). It gives you room for wool socks and foot swell when hiking. All Danner boots run a little narrow in my opinion, but still the hands down best boot maker today.
I have been wearing Danner Boot for the last 40 years 30 of them, working for ODOT in La Grande OR. I bought these boot for hunting in the harsh sub zero weather, during my retirement in Cody Wyoming. The warmth, fit, quality, & made in the USA are certainly worth the money. Your customer service including communications are well above standard. Thank You; "Ugo"
I had a pair of these already for years as I got older my feet flattened out and I moved upto a size 13. Gave my old pair to my nephew and bought a new pair to replace them. The old pair had a lot of years and hunting on them and I never war them out. Would still be putting trips on them if I don’t need to size up.
I am using this boot in Maine woods off-trail and on, mostly off. Late fall weather has made ground wet, dry, snowy, frozen. Pretty much all conditions. Boot performs very well. The tread sticks out further in the center of the sole than around the edges. This is perfect for planting your foot in the woods, scaling a snowy hill, or stepping in water. Not a boot for wearing around town or walking on a sidewalk. Of course you can do that, but the tread makes it a bit awkward. The trophy is made for the woods, grassland, frozen swamps, shallow streams. Sheds mud very well. Best boot I have ever owned. A pleasure to wear.
Love Mtn Lt 2. This is more narrow in the toe. Fine for most, but lost most of big toenail last year. Remainder creates 1/8" ridge. Feels like spike heel on big toe with this boot. Mtn Lt 2 feels fine. THIS IS NOT DUE TO ANY FAULT WITH THESE LOVELY BOOTS! It's the fault of my touchy toe.
Best boots I've ever owned. My first pair of trophy boots are 15 years old and still going. Still waterproof, too. They have seen hundreds of days in the field in 15 years. They are too worn to be re-crafted, so I got a new pair. These boots have the shock absorption of my running shoes. They are amazing. I have heel pain, but these boots have taken care of that. These are the best boots money can buy, and they last and last! Danner's customer service is awesome, too. They sent me free boot conditioner and laces and insoles. You guys are awesome and make awesome boots! I tell everyone who's looking for good boots, get Danner. I have friends that buy $100.00+ boots every two years, and they end up spending more than I do, because the danner boots, although expensive, last.
This is the best boot hands down I have ever owned. They have kept my feet safe and dry with no sores, working up to 7 Ten hour days in Seattle during the winter. They took the beating of Rebar and concrete slabs for several seasons. Every day wet, damp, in the Seattle winters. I would go home with my feet still feeling like i could go dancing after work. I own Two pairs of these boots. I have gotten collectively 17 years of hunting and heavy construction out of them. I will purchase another pair of these boots just as soon as they are no longer recraftable.
This is my second pair of Trophies. I have never own or know of a better more comfortable, tough hunting/field boot. If and when I wear this pair out I hope you still have them available because I will buy pair number 3.
Great pair of boots, well constructed and very comfortable. I ordered the EE wide boot as the 1st pair of normal width were too narrow and returned. The return process was very easy with great customer service.
My feet are super wide and I only wear boots, no shoes. Average 2E boots are too narrow for me, so I was hesitant to order the 2E Trophy in 10.5. I've worn them daily for a month now. These are, by a wide margin - the most comfortable boots I've ever owned. The left boot needed overnight, gently, in a boot stretcher to eliminate the rub on my pinkie toe. They're now $400 worth of comfortable.
These boots look and feel expensive. The dark brown leather is stunning. Like, I was literally speechless when I opened the box saw the quality of the leather. I've been complemented on them several times already.
These are extremely well made boots. I expect them to last a long time. These are perfectly comfortable in the 10f-30f weather w/ snow we've had. The tread is unique and grabs surfaces firmly.
Based on the quality of the Trophy, and how they fit my EE+ feet, I will be buying more boots from Danner in the future.
I had ordered 11Ds and they felt just a little to narrow so I then ordered 10.5 EEs they fit great at first however once the boots got sweated up and wet from snow now my feet slop around in them and there obviously used to no return. It seems the soft composition of the leather stretches more than most books. Besides that they are a very comfortable light weight well built boot
I wear a men’s 10.5, fit like a custom made leather boot right out of the box. Wore around the house to get used to them then took them on a late season December elk hunt in Wyoming. 15F weather, wind, ankle to knee deep snow. With Darn Tough mountaineering socks kept my feet warm during miles of walking and stalking, early morning my toes were a bit cold sitting and riding in the tracked UTV between glassing. I have three pair of Danner boots. Exceptional boot for the money. All are comfortable, durable, and for an average sized and shaped foot, fit perfectly.
I bought these just for hunting. Recently bought a pair of German made boots and used for several hunts, but decided to return them to buy the Trophy boots instead. I tried them on and the comfort of the Trophy boot was unreal. Only boots I've ever had that felt like this was in the 70's with a pair of Weidermann's leather boots. Can't wait to hit the woods of western Washington to give them a shake down. I wear the Ft. Lewis and Recon boots for work. I like the fit of the Ft. Lewis over the Recon's. So I was leaning towards the Danner Canadian. But in researching between the Trophy and the Canadian boot, I thought that the Trophy would be a better fit for hunting over the narrower fit of the Canadian boots. The Trophy is an excellent looking boot, with superb craftsmanship. I'm sure they'll last a long time.
