By incorporating top-of-the-line materials like Vibram with a weight-saving platform, Danner made the tough, versatile work boot feel like the kind of boot you want to put on at the end of a long day. This new last is designed to cup your heel for a secure fit while offering a little more room in the toe box to accommodate feet that are carrying heavy loads. It also comes with a dual-density EVA midsole for extra shock absorption and comfort. The oil- and slip-resistant outsole has a low profile 90-degree heel, making it versatile enough for indoor and outdoor work. For really tough jobs it has an abrasion-resistant heel cap, an all-leather upper, a non-metallic safety toe and a breathable, moisture-wicking liner for warm weather.
Durable waterproof leather upper with abrasion-resistant heel cap
GORE-TEX waterproof breathable lining
Cushioning PU footbed
Dual-density EVA cushioning and shock absorbing midsole offers added durability on the outside edges with cushioning on the inside for more comfort and support underfoot
The jury is still out on the boots. They felt great the first time I used them. I choose to take time breaking them in for an hour or too at a time. It may be my own fault, but the lacing system allows your to really snug the boots up and after waling for a couple hours the second day, my right foot is in such pain I can hardly walk on it. I hope that they break in well, or I am not going to be able to where them. Love danner boots. got a pair of 84 olympic swat team boots that I still have, and hope to reboot. As well as a pair of backpacking boots.
I work in a manual labor environment on varying terrain; concrete and gravel mostly. The boots are excellent so far. Comfort beats the shit out of my Red Wings. All sorts of toe room, hugs the side of the foot just enough to stay stable, and perfect support for my arch. I have a pretty normal foot. I would say the length is a touch long maybe. The next size down fit quite well, but I opted for the larger 12 so I wouldn't have to worry about my toes squishing under heavy loads on uneven terrain. I have had Red Wings the past three years. I will only be buying Danner from here on out. The only boots I have tried that are better than these is the Danner Rivot TFX with the 851 last. Those are the perfect boot. That is the boot that should be adapted to the manual labor environment.
I bought these for my boyfriend whose on his feet 10+ hours a day. He absolutely loves these boots. Worth every penny. A lot of the knee and back issues he's had have improved with these boots. They are actually waterproof and provide all the support he needs. I hope they last well bc he's been really happy with them. They are true to size. Don't hesitate on these boots if you're on your feet all day.
These are my second pair of these Vicious boots and I love them. They keep my feet very dry. I work at a chemical plant in southeast Texas and it rains a lot so that’s important to me. I work these boots hard and put many miles on them. I wear orthotics in them and they’re very comfortable.
This is my second pair of these boots. My first pair lasted one year. The soles are worn out and the leather has broken open at the inside of the ball of my foot. I have been away from Danner products for a few years and have switched my outdoor boots to other makes. I believe in Danner and would like to see more from them. I have been through at least a dozen pair of boots over the years. The fit is perfect and I do use them constantly. This is a great work boot, I just would like them to last longer.
These boots have treated me right since the beginning. No break in period for me at least. I work with water production and the waterproof materials is huge for me. As well as comfort and weight, these hold up to it. Perfect to work in as well as to hike in. Definitely my top boot I've owned. Definitely would order another pair.
Excellent addition to my work boot collection. I’ve been wearing the Quarry comp toes all winter and was looking for a lighter solid boot for the Spring and Summer. These will most certainly do!!! All the comfort, protection, and good looks of the Quarry without all the weight and more breathable for the warmer months. BTW, these are leaps and bounds more comfortable than the comparable Red Wing model I used to wear. I am solid on Danners all around. Great boots 👍🏼
I had high hopes for these boots. The outsole is great with plenty of grip. I have to climb steep inclines in remote mountainous areas for work. However, the insoles are extremely uncomfortable. There is absolutely no cushion to them. They are probably the most uncomfortable boot I’ve ever worn.
