They fit nice when in the house, took them outside for the first time and didn’t make it 1/4 mile before I got blisters on both feet so bad they bleed. Returned them for danner pronghorns and they are way better well worth the money.

The first pair i bought in 1983 and wore to the World Scout Jamboree in Canada, where it rained the first couple days, and I was the only one comfortable. They lasted for about 6 years, and I used them in construction, on my feet all the time. They never actually fell apart, I just retired them because of their appearance. The next pair of Danners in this style I purchased in 2014. The sole did not stay bonded at the toe, and I exchanged them. The ones I have now are amazing - running equipment on the farm, clearing blackberries, cutting trails, hilly hard work with a chainsaw, rototilling. I just put them on and forget them. They offer excellent protection without being heavy at all. They are surprisingly cushioned, and my legs don't get tired on concrete. I would love to backpack with them, but they do not breath sufficiently. (I use a trail running shoe that is not waterproof for backpacking trips of 4 days or more.) But for regular hard farm work, they are perfect. They function like boots, but actually feel like tennis shoes. I intend to purchase another pair soon to begin breaking them in while these are still holding up.

Boots are comfortable one you get them broken in. I have worn them several hours every day for a week, and now I believe I could hike several miles without getting hot spots. The toe box is quite generous, I put an extra insole in the boot to take up the extra space. These should be good for Texas hunts fir the next several years.

To early to tell. The last pair I had lasted 8 months, that’s the longest any work boot has ever lasted we me. I work in the wine industry and the acid in wine breaks the leather down very quickly. The leather and bindings held up great with the boots but the heal wore out before the shoe. I may have them re- souled. I’m really hard on my work boots and I was very pleased with the way they kept my feet warm and dry. I couldn’t find the exact boot that I bought but I’m hoping these will last as long. Best boots I’ve had yet. I’ve been in the wine industry for nearly 40 years and I know what I’m talking about when it comes to work boots.

Had to return for smaller size

My fault for not noticing the fact these aren’t waterproof but I didn’t realize they made boots like this that weren’t. Boots are hard to tighten up and moderate on the comfort side. They are also a little thick.

My only complaint is that I have huge calves, so they are pushed down and then I end up with a weird bit of bunching at the ankle. But men’s boots aren’t offered in wide calf, so I think any brand would do the same. The boots themselves are fantastic!

Love the quality of these boots from first impression. Easily loosen and tighten very comfortable to walk for tall boots. Will give updated reliability review after one year .

Bought a pair of these books.Was surprised to find no insoles. They don't come with them. Wide width version is still very narrow!!! Otherwise they are great boots.Customer service was very good!!

Bought these to hunt and retrieve birds in heavy brush. They do not disappoint. They fit well and feel like an athletic shoe in movement. The ankle support is soft if you are used to tall work boots, otherwise you are set. May not fit with some pants over the boot and eyelit lacing to the top may require some figuring out. Overall, comfortable and getting the job done. Looks best with shorts in my opinion.

Was unable to get a year out of the sole. Sent back to get new sole put on. Had to buy a new pair of boots, was the same price. This was the most comfortable boot I've ever worn but one year of use doesn't justify the price point.

Fit and finish are good, however the boots are too hot for moderate-hot temperature in the low 80’s. The lack of air circulation for hot weather boots is an issue that calls for innovation. Snake boots are certainly for game stalking, not sitting.

These are very light, and comfortable. All the guys on my lease are looking into buying them some as well.

Fantastic Snake boot! I absolutely love the design. I love that its not camo too (some of us like solid colors) But why is it not a Side Zip? That's the only irritation.

Very light weight, extremely light weight, I like that. Fit well, marked size is accurate. And good for hot weather. This boot comes up close to the knee so covers a lot of leg, these are tall boots, even so in hot weather they didn’t make my legs feel hot. The lacing eyes are all closed loops except for the lower side pair at the ankle. The boots have to be opened quite wide to insert the foot. Meaning the top 3 or 4 lacing eyes need to be undone, and then re-laced which is time consuming, bent over work, threading laces with boots on. I would prefer hook type lacing for the top 3 or 4 pair to make the re-lacing much quicker, and easier to find and get hooked in.

Living in Colorado we have prairie rattlers which for the most part do not rattle before they strike. I use these boots for working around my lot on the landscaping. Prairie rattlesnakes live in the tall grass for the most part and are very difficult to see so having snake boots is the wisest option. These boots are light weight, warm but not hot to wear under desert conditions. They are very sneaker like to wear and with my insoles in them they work great for me.

I’ve worn snake boots for decades as I live in copperhead country, it not f you get struck but when, I spend a lot of time in deep brush and slog through lowland swamps..I had grown accustomed to giving up comfort for protection until I bought a pair of 17” vital snake boots. I’ve been struck twice this year and as far as I’m concerned they paid for themselves right then.
I’m ver impressed by the light weight and impressed by the comfortability.
If you are a serious outdoors man I recommend these boots as they are by far the best and most comfortable I’ve ever worn.

I did not find the speed laces suitable. I could not get the tension right anywhere. For me the boot needs hooks for the upper.

Bought these as a gift for a family member, who is very happy with quality, fit, and light weight.

The only problem I had with these boots is that the laces don't grip. So, when you tie them, the knot comes loose because the laces are too slick. They run a little big. A half size smaller was too small.

most comfortable boots i’ve ever worn! bought them for work (flight nurse)...when not n the air i’m working in the hospital and usually on my feet...exclude lunch and charting, i’d say i’m on hard floors for 10hrs and my feet still feel great! home run purchase
