No problems, personally, with First Lite, or any other higher end hunting clothing/gear. I just happened to dip my toe into the Sitka market a few years back and have been hooked ever since. I have a couple sets of Sitka’s medium-weight and heavyweight base layers, including their Core Merino 330 top and bottoms. Great base layers, but I also own a couple sets of the First Lite Furnace base layers. After using both brands extensively over the past few deer seasons, the First Lite Furnace base layers are, imo, clearly warmer and inevitably more comfortable than Sitka’s offering in similarly weighted merino base layers. Although both the Sitka and First Lite heavyweight merino layers perform similarly in terms of all-day comfort, the Furnace base layers separate themselves from the Core Merino 330 in terms of overall warmth. I use it over a Kiln and under a Rugged Wool zip and/or Catalyst when it's western elk hunt cold depending on movement, or just wear it as an outer layer in milder weather.
