I bought a pair for hunting in the rain. I expected the material to be similar to a rain jacket but it's very thick and stiff. It's like wearing waterproof burlap. There are no belt loops, pockets, or any type of pass-thru to access your clothing underneath. The waist drawstring is not very effective and I notice the pants slipping down if I wear them while walking. This has resulted in the pant legs getting caught under my feet and the material getting badly frayed. Since they are waterproof, they are breathable so they get very hot if worn while walking. Much to my surprise, they performed beautifully! I literally sat in a puddle in the bleachers, and didn't get wet. I was impressed.
