Men's Irish Setter Ely 6in ST Work Boots

Before these I would have to replace a pair of boots or shoes within a year of buying them because the soles of each were worn at such a high toe-in angle that my knees would start to protest. \r\n\r\nI do remember that without extra insoles, they felt like I was walking on a rigid flat plywood insole, but that's going to vary with everyone's specific foot and stride characteristics. I guess I have a tendency to put my left leg back whenever I take a knee because with both previous pairs the left toe leather had a 1½\" wide hole worn down to the steel toe. Having worn half cut to full height boots...steel toe or otherwise for over 50 years I'd like to comment that the fit and comfort is good but agree that even \"mild\" kneeling for home use now has seen premature wear for not just the toes but heels in my garage areas. After 2 months use it seems excessive vs 2 years of actual outdoor use others seem to have done.\r\n\r\nMy biggest issue is how this style of shoe is laced. The lace is a round, make it a 4 sided cord that won't be found locally at any shoe store. It comes with 4 lower eyelets leading to a leather formed over loop to draw the lace through prior to winding it around an upper brass style hook and then tying it.\r\n\r\nNot once have I not had to stop and re-tie the lace as it doesn't seem to draw tight enough.
