Men's Irish Setter Two Harbors 11in ST Pull-On Work Boots

They are most the most comfortable boots I’ve ever put on my feet, Unfortunately I’ve only had them for about six months and my feet are starting to get wet just by walking through wet grass. It looks like the sole of the boot is starting to separate from the boot. Considering I do electrical work I can’t say that’s very safe for my feet to be wet and I just looked at the warranty and you have to have the original receipt in order for them to warranty them. I had super high expectations as they have a really nice customer service experience and a good reputation from everything I heard. I wore these boots for 4 months working in the public water distribution field. This means frequently standing in water and muddy holes, always outside on dirt, concrete and asphalt. First off, they caused me so much pain initially that I wrote a review here at only 2 days in, because they were giving me an unreal amount of foot pain. The factory insoles in all of Red Wing’s boots are nothing more than disposable. Unless the bottom of your feet are made of steel, they force you into buying upgraded insoles (from their store, they hope). I went back and blindly spent $80 on Red Wing’s top of the line custom molded insole that their machine said I needed, and got no relief. After putting in an insole designed for comfort and support (not made by Red Wing), the boots were tolerable to wear. The leather dried out and cracked all over, possibly due to lack of frequent maintenance on my end, and they began leaking pretty early on. And at 4 months, the liner came loose from one of the boots, at which point they went in the trash. Had I known about how well Red Wing honors their warranty, I would’ve taken them back. But I didn’t know at the time. I highly doubt any subsequent pairs would’ve performed any differently anyways.
