Awesome shoes~
My husband loves these -- he says they don't hurt at all on the first wear and don't need broken in. Great shoes!

Damaged on first day
Product was un damaged when in box but the flex portion cracked on first day of use. Flex portion of the shoe continued to deteriorate over the next week. Would consider recalling the batch.

Hold up well
I bought these shoes the day before hiking the Timberline trail on Mt. Hood. I was after a pair of targhees but my local shop didn’t have them in my size so I thought I would try these. They felt nice and light but I was skeptical of the rubber flex. Anyway, I was nervous about having a new pair of shoes on the day of a hike without breaking them in but these were fantastic and ended up requiring no break in at all. I have since put at least a couple hundred miles on them and they have held up perfectly. They offer all of the support and durability I look for in a boot and they are also comfortable, light, and offer plenty of traction. Overall I have been surprised by how well these boots perform compared to something more traditional like a targhee and I will totally buy another pair when these wear out which doesn’t appear to be happening any time soon.

I really wanted to like these. My previous keens were super comfortable straight out of the box and lasted about a year of almost daily use before the leather started splitting due to my lack of care for them during the winter.
The ridge flex however feal clunky and and uncomfortable. I decided to give them a chance and wore them around the garden for a few weekends, thinking they might improve once worn in. But before I even had a chance to get used to them the rubber accordion split after only very light use.

These boots are not up to the standards I expected from keen and from boots of this price. I would not recommend them.

Ridge flex boot
They run small so you need to go a size up then they’re pretty much perfect it says on site ,run small . The best pair of shoes for comfort I beat the hell out of them and they just keep going like a champ.Rainy days jump in puddles not worried feet are dry. The flex on the top ripped but the waterproof membrane still keeps out all the water.

Comfort from day one
I hike almost every day but because of recovery from surgery and the pandemia I have only been out on hikes of 2 to3 hours with my new boots. My hikes include both road walks and steep, slippery terrain and so far they feel great.

Could Be Better
I've worn these boots almost daily for work, which is "light demand" at most. They are very light weight and look nice. However, I needed to add a stiff insole for foot bed support, as the sole felt a bit flimsy and would obviously be hard on the feet in short order. At 4 months of use, the outer sole started to peel off; now at 6 months, the stitching on top of both arches has come undone. Besides being a very light weight boot with great traction, I'm let down by their lack of longevity.
