Great boot. I typically wear a size 12 however when I got them the right was too small and had to be exchanged for a 13. 13s are a little sloppy and will stretch out over time. I am compensating with inserts. First time ever being semi-dissatisfied with a pair of Keens.

They’re lightweight and they support my feet very well! Some of the best shoes have owned in a long time!

I can dig it
I’ve been wearing Merrells for years. Got tired of their lack of waterproofness? I haven’t worn these in the field yet just around running errands and whatnot. However, they are very comfortable and look good. We will see how they hold up on some backpacking trips. I am sure they will be fine. I wear 11.5 and the 11.5s fit perfectly fine.

Simple a great pair of boots.
Bought my current pair in may of 2019 to hike the Camino Santiago thru Portugal with my daughter. My daughter has the same pair in women’s that she used to walk the Camino from France to Santiago in 2018. I chose these because her estimates that she has put nearly 1000 miles on hers from hiking in Europe and here in California. My break in period was about 10 miles then over 340 miles from Portugal to northern Spain in 12 days. Blisters yes got them. Wrong socks and not enough mole skin. Boots were always comfortable. Pushed thru the pain as we had to cover up to 24 miles a day. By 5 or 6 day feet boots socks and mole skin meshed as one .last day into Santiago we covered 29 miles. Have worn them regularly now for hiking and outside work this year. As I write this I’m in SeaTac Seattle waiting for flight home. Big arctic storm came thru this weekend and have been wearing them for 4 days. In some places I had to trod thru 8 to 10 drifts. Beaded water well feet remained dry and warm . My estimate is I now have close to 700 miles on these boots and they are now just broke in. I’m 63 and are planning another Camino as soon as COVID eases up. Thank you for a great pair of boots.

Replacement shoe
So far the truth seems very comfortable and warm. The sole looks like it is also going to withstand more and be a little more durable

Vent Option For The Win!
I put over a hundred miles of backcountry adventuring on my Keen Targhee IIs. They were seriously falling apart after all that abuse. Like a lot of Keens, they started to de-lam and such. But they were super comfy, maybe I should just get a new pair? But the Keen Dry membrane failed within the first year: It must have gotten gunked up, because my beloved Targhee IIs were a sweatbox of dampness every time I put them on.

Enter the Vent option: I got them in late July, went on a single 3 mile walk, and took them out for a 22 mile, 3 day hike in the Montana Beartooths; up and over 2 mountain passes. They were great! They felt like an old pair of running shoes or something. Very comfy. Lots of traction. The vents seem to help with heat & moisture, but more importantly, they allow the boot to dry overnight. Awesome!

If I had any complaints: they are considerably softer than the Targhee II; both in ankle support and underfoot. You will feel more pokey trail rocks in these than the IIs, and may have ankle stability issues in these.

The only real complaint is the awful brown colorway. That's it. Cosmetic yuckiness aside, these are great boots!

Felt great from the start. No break in blisters. Look forward to many miles in the great outdoors.

My second purchase
I bought a pair of these 8 years ago and I wore them everywhere. They molded to my foot great and lasted a long time before they started excessively wearing. I didnt think twice about it and purchased the exact same pair again. The new boots did not disappoint. Just like the old pair , it was comfortable out of the box and made with great quality. Most companies eventually cut corners and sacrifice quality for profit...but not KEEN.

I will always buy KEEN boots!!
