he XKG Ridge Pant is designed for performance, comfort, and durability and is the highest performing lightweight pant in our XKG Series. With four-way stretch polyester, water resistant treatment, and superior breathability, we built this pant to be a highly functional piece during every phase of the hunting season.
It is equipped with articulated knees for comfortable walking, grip strip waistband, reinforced pockets for knives, snapped cargo pockets for secure storage, and roll up pant snap loops to keep your pants dry while crossing streams or to stay cool during the hot early season months.
Former athlete. Best hunting pants out there for athletic build bow hunters. Durability, design, don’t get the funk after a few days of hard hunting, blood cleans right off. Actually long enough. I now own 3 pairs of the ridge pant. 2 pair of Sonoras. Customer for life. Not one to leave reviews but Kings is actually worth it. Dudes that actually fill their tags wear Kings haha
I’ve worn them all. These pants by Kings are the best. They’re durable, they breath good, pockets in all the right places. I’ve owned pants twice the cost and they don’t come close to comparing. Take my word for it. I’m 6’3 and I wear the 32 Tall. Only pants that fit over my boot. I’m typically a 32x38 and these work wonders for my height!
The XKG Ridge pant is by far my favorite piece of Kings gear. I usually wear this pant on my way too and from the stand. One thing that I love the most is how fast these pants dry, many times I have had to cross a knee deep creek to get to my spot and my pants were dry by the time I was climbing the tree!
I’m happy with them! When I first got them in and felt the material, I was nervous on how they would hold up down here in the south in the saw briar thickets. But, I trailed a deer through one and they held up great. I don’t have any holes in them. They shed water great keeping me dry. I’ve worn them down to 42* with a pair of midweight fleece thermals and was comfortable. Anything under 40* I’d want to add an outer layer.
Having used Kings XKG series for several years and having a great experience I decided to purchase the entire series for a week long hunt in Alaska. The XXG Ridge Pant performed flawlessly on long hikes to the alpine pursing Blacktail Deer. The 4 stretch material combined with a great water resistant finish was ideal for excursions that started out wet and turned sunny. These pants are a must have for the outdoorsman that demands comfort and functionality that stand up to abuse of backpack hunting. The XKG Elevation 1/4 tip tee performed above my expectations. It was the perfect material that provided an outstanding base. The quick dry material was ideal for breathability and provided the perfect fit to wear under a heavy pack on extreme hikes. From hunting bears in the rainforest to fishing for salmon and hunting Blacktail Deer in the alpine it performed better than expected. The quick dry material and versatile material made it my go to garment for every adventure. The XKG leg Gaiters were possibly one of the best accessories I wore in Alaska. The XKG Gaiters provided a level protection while hiking through the thick underbrush of Southeast Alaska that was required to stay in the field all day. The wet environment that Southeast Alaska is known for was held at bay thanks to my XKG Leg Gaiters. They kept by boots and pants dryer and kept me hiking longer. I would not go on a hunt without these again.
I’ve worn a lot of hunting gear. But I’ve never been more comfortable than when I bought them. Soft so you can quietly crawl. Durable to hold up. If they hold up to my destructive behavior they will last for a long time. Well worth the money
This Ridge Pant is great. Used it for September coues deer hunt in New Mexico and it allows a lot of flexibility climbing into a tree stand. Temps would hit ranges from 60 in the mornings to 80 midday and I stayed comfortable. What I like most is they are not baggy from the knee down.. most camo brands have a problem with this. These pants fit, great material, and kept me comfortable in the tree and in the blind. Great job Kings!
Overall I’m very impressed with the XKG pants. Wore them for several days during an archery elk hunt in NM while my friend and I killed two bulls. Felt warm at 26 degrees and cool at 90 degrees and I loved the freedom of movement. Additionally they are very blood resistant and the elk blood washed right out after handing both bulls. The only issue I found was that they snag fairly easy when traversing deadfall trees, the good news is the snags are small and don’t seem to be running.
I love these pants. In fact I wear them all the time. I have the solid color and the camo colors. I wear the solid colored pants to work and to the mountains. They are just about the most comfortable pants I own. The Ridge Pant performs great on the mountain. Light enough to be cool in the hot summer and heavy enough (add a base layer if needed) to work for the late fall hunts. These pants are awesome.
Out of all the Kings pants the Ridge pants are my favorite and go to. If it's cold you can throw on their 3/4 zip merino base layer and you are set. If it's hot they breath well without losing durability. I have put all my ridge pants through all types of terrain and never had them fail on me. The solids look great even for recreational activities outside of hunting and I've even wore them to work with a polo and looked very presentable. I highly recommend this pant.
I love my my XKG Ridge Pants! I run the realtree edge pattern for hunting in Michigan and could not be happier with the pants! The fit is tight which is perfect because I don't have to worry about snagging or having burs all over me! Love wearing them for turkeys season I just run a xkg base layer and literally can get through any weather!
Great Run and Gun Pant due to the lightweight and athletic fit. They are pretty thin so I questioned how they would do on cooler days or pushing later into the season, but with a good baselayer I stayed warm on the mountain. I really like a pant that is not bulky when I am hunting or hiking. They do a good job at repelling light moisture and blood washes out no problem. Great product!
These are a fantastic all around pant. They work in any season for any style of hunting especially if your doing a lot of walking, like chukar hunting. Late in the season just put a light or midweight pair of long johns on and they are just fine.
Awesome pants for the whitetail woods or the mountains of the west.
I pretty much lived in these pants for a week out west. So comfortable. Didn't hold scent or start stinking. Zero chaffing. True to size. Awesome material, solid build, and well thought out design. I own these pants in camo and khaki, and really enjoy them. HIGHLY recommend for cool weather active hunting.
As most the reviews say, this pant is great. I prefer them over my Sitka mountain pant. Athletic fit, non-restrictive and breathable but I will still wear them will into they late season with a base layer
Great early season pant for whitetail hunts in North Central Indiana I used once for mid season and it’s okay for between 40-50 degrees if you layer up. Sheds rainwater better than I expected for only being water resistant and not waterproof pant. Overall good purchase and the Realtree Edge pattern looks sharp as ever in the woods
I had an older pair of King's Camo pants and finally decided to upgrade. These pants feel great and work well, but I think they run a little small. They repelled water when it was lightly raining, and the stretch allows them to adapt when crossing deadfall. I will be purchasing another pair of these soon!
I had purchased a pair in 2018. Used them several times in the timberline, desert and winter climates. The pants are sturdy, quite, comfortable and spacious. This lead me to buy another pair for me and one for my son. He is tall and the long version fit like a glove. Wonderful addition to your line and brand.
