","text":"This year I decided to buy all new cold weather camo as I was tired of looking like the Michelin man and suffering the bulk and bind heavy layers cause. First impression of the CKG Transition Vest was “this is way too light to be effective.” I was wrong. I bought on sale in early spring after the season ended so I have not been able to field test beyond the confines of my porch at 35 degrees, but it is amazingly warm for its weight. Exactly what I was looking for. I needed something that was a slimmer fit an I didn’t want bulk in the sleeves that would cause binding at the elbows. This vest covers that. Very lightweight, closer cut, and a little longer for good coverage. As a guy who recently lost a bit of weight, I will say if you’re a bit heavy in the middle you should size up. The pockets are well placed. The fabric is quiet and slides easily against upper and lower layers. I coupled it with the L2 hooded and the L4 wind defender.
