I love the jacket and Kuhl gear in general. I normally wear a large. That’s the size I bought. However the fit is very tailored that I would be hard pressed to wear something slightly bulky underneath. I probably should have ordered an extra large. I have an athletic build and it fits snugly. I have bought a lot of Kuhl gear in the past. It’s not the company’s fault. I wish that I could have tried it on first. I ordered from the Kühl website online.
Once again, im impressed. Rained the day after I received this and I cant come up with anything that would make it better. I especially like the hood adjustment, its easy to do after its on your head. The twin chest pockets are a plus. Of course the fit is perfect, for me
Great light weight jacket for wind and light rain. Be aware that it will soak through rather fast in a heavy downpour. Well made and fits well. If it were not for the very bright non removable logo, it would make a great urban jacket as well.
Tournament bass fishing can take its toll if not properly equipped. This jacket checks all the boxes for outdoor use. There is no getting out of the weather when tournament fishing and this is an absolute must for me.
Living in the Northwest...one can say its fairly damp here 9 months out of the year. That being said...I absolutely dig the M. Jetstream jacket. Keeps the rain out but vents approximately so I do not overheat. I highly recommend this jacket for those wishing to be active and dry while playing outdoors.
It seems like a nice jacket. The material is good, waterproof and lightweight. For me the arms are a bit long, as I needed a larger size to be comfortable on the chest and under the armpits. The hood is almost over-generous and could be smaller to redice weight.
I keep this jacket handy almost everywhere I go, I'm the guy that has his gear ready when it's needed. If I'm in town and there's no rain in the forecast, it usually stay in my car. When I'm in the mountains, it's usually in a dry bag in my fishing sling pack ready for those pop up storms. When I'm traveling I keep it in my carry on, when I'm exploring the cities it goes in my backpack. Needless to say, this jacket gets a lot of use and it's my go to for when the temp drops, it's raining, or I need a nice shell over a fleece. I've beat this thing up and have zero complaints about it.
Ran into a rainstorm at Red Rocks on 9/8 and this jacket performed as advertised. I stayed as dry as you could hope for in a downpour. My nickname when I visit the Wasatch in the winter is “Jet Stream” as it always snows when I come out...seriously...great jacket for inclement weather that fits and is true to size. I’m 5’10” 170 and the medium is spot on.
I just purchased this jacket so I haven't yet been able to wear it in a downpour, but it was great in light rain. The fit is true to size and the jacket looks great (as with every Kuhl product). I love the packability of the jacket. I plan on stowing this in my backpack on my travels through Europe. Hopefully this will be the last light jacket I ever need. I'll update after the trip on long term comfort
Bought this jacket on sale because I own some Kuhl items & it looked cool. Wore it on trip to Europe and worked good for strolling around in cool, damp weather & packed light. Then wore it on my recent trip to Oregon & was perfect. Got stuck in a downpour while bike riding & kept my upper body dry & visor kept rain out of my eyes. Hiked in it & kept 20kt winds off while staying warm. Perfect jacket for outdoor activities.
Had to stop by REI on our way to Grand Canyon to pickup a rain jacket in May. Weather forecast for Grand Canyon was turning cold. I ended up trudging around South rim of GC in the snow, rain, wind and cold but I was dry and warm.
There is a reason why Kühl carries very specific clothing pieces and this is another great example. The Jet Stream jacket is of superior quality and fits well for those rainy days! This jacket is a must for anyone who spends time outdoors.
Have a Arc’teryx AR shell for winter and snow. Purchased the Jetstream jacket for the other three seasons and travel. Recently traveled to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and it was foggy and rainy. The Jetstream jacket was perfect. Just enough warmth and stayed completely dry. I have several pair of Kuhl pants and a few shirts which are wonderful. This jacket is at the top of the list. Couldn’t ask for a better rain jacket and it is great with a sweater layer on mild days. Kuhl knocked it out of the park again. Thank you!
