Another 5-star product from Kuhl. The jacket does what it says. It’s water resistant and nicely lined. It is very well made and lives up to the advertising. I got it just in time for a temperature drop with rain and put it to test, walking from the car into the office. It kept me warm and dry. It is not waterproof so don’t think it is, but it certainly is sufficiently water resistant to do what Kuhl advertises it will do. It really is the one. I will be using it a lot this fall and into the winter for everything from daily casual use to during periods of outdoor exertion that require an extra layer. Well done, Kuhl!!
I am a big fan of the brand and have dozens of their products. But, the cut of this one let me down a bit. I usually sit on the L-XL line, leaning a little to the upper size. I was advised to go bigger and I'm glad I did. I bought the XXL and it just fits, with a little tightness across the back. Part of that sensation could be due to the liner, which seems to "adhere" to any shirt that isn't a slick material. Aside from that, you get the great Kuhl quality and style.
Great jacket, it is as described. Go one size up. Extremely comfortable lightweight jacket. I had an issue with the delivery, where it was lost by the carrier. The company sent me a replacement via express delivery without me even asking. The original one eventually showed up and I was able to return that very easily. I will buy Kuhl again.
This is a perfect alternative to constantly wearing a down jacket. It's lightweight, thin and warm. I wear this jacket before first light when taking the dog for a walk, I'll wear it throughout the day and I'll wear it as my travel jacket to and from the beach or the mountains. I have wider shoulders so although I'm probably a LARGE, when it comes to KUHL shirts and Jackets, Im generally an XL. When I measure myself with a soft tape measure, It doesn't usually match up to the KUHL sizing guide. For reference: my chest measures at 42-43" but XL tends to work best for me. The only downside was the outside shell is pretty absorbent and I accidentally stained with with oil or grease within the first few days of wearing it. Nevertheless, its almost nearly the perfect alternative to my lightweight puffy jacket.
I’m a die hard Kuhl fan, but I wasn’t sure The One could be as good as the reviews. It is. It’s incredibly light, but the wind resistance is legit. I wouldn’t put it in the winter category, but The One and a good base layer could probably get you through a lot of spring and fall weather.
This jacket has quickly become one of my favorites. It is very comfortable. The styling is great and keeps me at the perfect temperature during Spring in New England. On colder days I have been pairing it with the Freethinkr hoody. It's my favorite combo right now. I'm 5'7" and 185+ with a larger chest and I find the sizing to be small. I would normally take a Large, but with this jacket I got an XL. That said the XL fits great for me. It may be partially a personal preference. I like my jackets a little looser while not being too long and this jacket fits my preferences perfectly.
Awesome jacket for windy summits or going to work. Fits great, super lite and pretty warm. I found is does great down to about 40 with moderate wind. I am 6 foot and about 180 pounds and the medium fits perfect.
I've been wearing North Face windstopper jackets for years. They are a great jacket, but not particularly warm. Kuhl's The One gives me exactly what I need - warmth with windproofing. Throw the Kuhl Jetstream jacket (really waterproof shell) on top, and you have a perfect 2-layer system to keep you warm and dry! Products like these are why I keep coming back to Kuhl over and over.
6'2", 200#, Athletic. After reading the previous reviews, I decided to purchase an XL (it was too big - the shoulders were too large and the waist was too large). I wear a L in the Burr Jacket and the L in M's - The One - fits almost exactly the same. I would wear a medium weight sweater, light hoodie, or t-shirt comfortably under both jackets.
I have ordered probably 7 different garments from Kuhl over the last few years. This jacket is thin with a nice smooth outer shell and nice lining. I have only had it a few days but I do enjoy the look and feel.
As an owner of multiple Kuhl garments, this may be the best one yet! For a jacket that is so thin and light it offers excellent wind/water-proofing and warmth - even in Chicago! The fit is excellent and offers great freedom of movement while the fitted wrists and adjustable waist prevents any cold air/rain/snow from entering. I highly recommend this as an outerlayer in the transitional weather and a layering piece in really cold weather. Kuhl, you've done it again!!!
Liner inside the jacket consists of material similar microfiber the problem is .. any shirt you wear and then put on this jacket is difficult to adjust into due to the liner hugging you so it takes time to adjust when putting on
