The laces also do a great job of locking the shoe down without cutting circulation of the top of your foot. And the upper has been durable enough with minimal impact to the foot from rock kicking.
The grip in mud is adequate and I always have a firm movement in mud.
The midsole is flexible and allows you to feel the ground, sometime bit too much but its ok. Overall the shoe is comfortable.
Cons: The outsole. The Vibram Quantum Grip, I think is marketing. I found I was slipping more than hoped for on rocks of various sizes, shapes and differing terrain.I've had much better traction and grip in other shoes on rocks and in wet conditions. The grip at the toe is non-existent and the shoe performs poorly when needing traction at the toe on any terrain. Which is real bad when going up an incline and need that toe traction to be there,

My only issue with the shoe is it is a bit tighter in the toes than I would like. Towards the end of my run I could feel my toes needing more space.
