Nike Metcon DSX Flyknit 2 Men's Training Shoe LIGHTWEIGHT, ONE-TO-ONE COMFORT. The updated Nike Metcon DSX Flyknit 2 Men's Training Shoe features a breathable, lightweight upper with Flyknit construction for a balanced feel. Its drop-in midsole and sticky rubber outsole offer stability, comfort and excellent traction while you train.
Flyknit upper delivers durable, yet lightweight flexibility. Drop-in midsole provides comfort and cushioning. Firm rubber in the heel provides durability and stability. Low-profile clip rolls up on the lateral and medial sides to help minimize drag during wall exercises and handstand pushups. Flywire technology integrates into the laces at the midfoot for a dynamic fit that helps lock your foot in place without restricting natural movement. Sticky rubber in the forefoot offers excellent traction. Firm rubber in the heel provides durability and stability for high-intensity intervals.
I just got my pair about a week ago. I love the design, look, and feel of the shoe. However, the heel slippage.. I have been trying so hard to not return/exchange them because of this. I'm hoping I can figure out some way to resolve the heel slip so I don't have to return them. Other than that, I love the shoe. Hopefully the next model keeps the great design and colorways, but fixes the heel. Thank you.
Yes your heel moves around more than other shoes. Fortunately for weight lifting this doesn't matter a damn. What does matter is that it is super stable has very little give for maximum power transfer, a decent heel to toe drop for a bit extra squat ROM and is the most comfortable training shoe i have ever worn! also the best looking. I highly highly suggest this shoe for weight lifting when you don't want to go full on high heels but are looking for some thing comfortable, breathable and can deal with it's fair share of hand stand pushups and a two mile run a couple of times a week.
I really like the look of the shoes and design. I read the reviews previously about the heal slip and support. However, this was a wife gift and I gave it a try for a week. Turns out reviews were true and lacking of the support on the inner side of the shoe makes feel unstable while jumping, spring or at any high respond of training. Great design needs to be more functional and improve the heal support and traction
So much potential, but never quite made it. The main intent of this purchase was to upgrade from the original metcons I bought over two years ago. I love the all black option NIKE made available; wish they would offer in more training and running shoes. The glove-like feel of the fore and upper foot. The drawbacks of this shoe are the inability to gain traction on turf and the heel slipping out of the shoe during sled pushes. One would think after four revisions NIKE would get it right; hopefully, the fifth time is a charm. However, still not giving up on the brand, because of what the name NIKE stands for--to CONQUER.
I had been waiting to get this shoe. I loveeeee the look, the features, the comfort, etc. however, I’m afraid I cannot wear them as the heal alps completely off when training. Imthe heels don’t cup like the regular metcons. Feels like a completely different shoe. In which I liked, but I cannot trainnin a shoe your heal slips out of doing sleds, and jumping etc. I even had them checked to ensure it was the right size. So disappointed as I loveeeeeddd these.
A successful example of how shoes can still surprise you!
When you thought that room for innovation in shoes is limited these days, Nike came up with this pleasant surprise! The immediate feeling I got when I slipped my feet in them was that these are not like any other shoes. I think the no-toungue-design is the reason. The shoes wrap around your feet like it was tailor made for you. Plug and play and don’t look back. I don’t think the feeling at the heel is a heel slip as people are describing it, I think it simply is a different way of how the shoe grab onto your foot. I felt it but it never actually slipped. It is just different. Good different. Amazing in short runs, box jumps, squads and all around the gym. Amazing colors and for sure the shape looks so right with a lot of presence and visual stability. I wait to see how Nike will build on that.
Great looking shoes, very comfortable, but just couldn't handle the heel slipping that was very evident when I walked in them. They actually seemed to not slip much when jumping/side to side/squats etc. But just walking around the kitchen it slipped with ever step. Really wanted to keep them, but gonna have to go with the Metcon 4s instead.
