The thought was if these are tough enough to stop a snake then they should hold up to sticks and briars. Being waterproof was a key factor in my selection. It has been less than a month and these might as well be mesh with how easily water gets in. \nAdmittedly, they are comfortable and light but being waterproof was the primary feature needed, and they simply are not. The rating would be one star but wanted to give some credit to them being comfortable.
