In the process of cleaning up the area I had a copperhead strike, but it hit the boot and the boots did their job. I can walk in several inches of water and stay dry. They are comfy and broke in quickly. I sized up bc I like to wear thicker cushion socks. They also seem easier to tie than past lace-up boots (I usually prefer side zips but they are hard to find sometimes). Boots were comfortable. I had used them mainly for hiking in muddy areas, had never fully immersed them in water. Found out the hard way that they are not waterproof on a hiking trip that required walking in 12 inches of water. Boots were 3-4 years old, should still be waterproof after that amount of time. Rocky Boots was notified and gave me a 40% off a new pair as they are not under warranty any more. Not sure if I will buy again even with the 40% off.
