These new KINETIC HD just are not the same as the original KINETIC.
The fit feels about the same - size wise; but the material (in the shorts) is much thinner and tends to shift and ride up (in the legs) during a lot of physical activity.
The new waistband is absolute garbage - way to thin, doesn't stay in place, most definitely rolls over and starts to lose its usefulness after just a few times wearing and washing them.
SAXX should NEVER have changed the original waistband - it always stayed in place, never rolled over and it lasted for years (even through years of physical activity and washes).
I could live with the rest of the new material on the KINETIC HD, but why (oh why) did they feel the need to take away the best waistband (on the original KINETIC) you could find on any pair of sport underwear?
Seriously (guys and gals at SAXX) the original waistband was the absolute best anywhere and really helped make the shorts what they were - please, bring them back!
I was a lifetime customer when they still made the original KINETIC underwear and recommended them to everyone involved in high activity sports.
Now, with these new KINETIC HD - I just can't recommend them anymore and won't be buying any more pairs (other then the ones I've already purchased).
There is nothing wrong with them...if you want a pair of underwear (with no fly) to wear to the office; however, if you want a pair of excellent sport shorts...these are no longer the ones to get - sorry SAXX - just an honest review - there's nothing special about them anymore...just another pair of "premium underwear" that is no different then any of the other "premium underwear" brands out there.
You had a great (dare I say, near perfect) product before - and whatever brainchild decided "this isn't broke...let's fix it anyway" needs a good, straight kick in the SAXX.
