The best fitting, most comfortable rain jacket I haver ever owned.
The best fitting, most comfortable rain jacket I haver ever owned. I used this jacket on a windy, early fall day on Lake Superior out of Ashland, WI. It worked very well. Now I just need a great pair of Simms bibs to pair with it!
Amazing jacket. Spent eight hours in pouring rain with it and ended the day with nothing more than some wet sleeves, my fault of course. Amazed that something found a complaint about the log, perfect jacket.
I'm a writer and videographer and travel all across Canada from may to October each year visiting remote angling destinations. The weather is often inclement and I need a suit that will keep me warm and dry. The Simms ProDry is absolutely bulletproof, I love it!
The build of this jacket is very nice. HOWEVER, The logos on this jacket are ridiculous. I ultimately ended up returning this product because of the SIMMS, SIMMS, SIMMS on every surface. Not only is the logo plastered everywhere, they all reflect light like a construction workers high-visibility safety vest. Simms would have to pay ME $500 to put this type of branding on my body.
The finest rain gear on the market. During torrential rain storm here( northwest coast) this is the only raincoat and bibs that has kept me completely dry. I've had other manufactures raincoats and bibs but never lived up to expectations. The best $1,000 dollars ever spent. Simms is the way to Go!
I have fished for 30+ years in all kinds of weather, and if your reading these reviews and wondering if you should - the answer is yes. This jacket is very expensive yes this was my first rain jacket that cost more then 200, never mind 500 but it is worth it. Period. It sounds bad but I just laugh inside when I get back to a boat ramp and guys are saying its so wet there soaked through there rain gear...… uh ya , not here. I now understand why guys swear by Simms.
This is a great jacket. From the start I had very high expectations on this piece due to brand name, material and price. My expectations were exceeded. The jacket is light, good looking, branding is more low key and its absolutely water tight. I tried it out in really heavy rain and wind for about an hour and it kept me 100% dry.

As with other Simms products I have ordered in the past, I found the sizes to be very large. If you are a Large, my suggestion is to order a Medium. It fits me perfectly and with room to fit a fleece layer underneath.

All in all, very high quality stuff Simms (& Gore Tex).
