The shoe is great, but... you HAVE to order at least 1 size larger, if not 2. I had an old pair of 11's . They fit great from day one and I'm an 11 1/2. I ordered an 11 and 12 just to be sure. Nope.. needed a 13. They should change the sizes on this site. If you are on the half size, round up at least a size and a half. No lie.. The shoe is 5 stars, the sizing issue is a one star.
Took to Christmas Island for 1 week of fishing. Heal was totally worn through. Boots were trashed. Seem great for walking soft surfaces but walking on coral destroyed the boot. Would not recommend unless you only plan to walk on sand.
The sizing on these boots is horrible! I have been a long time Simms fan, but someone dropped the ball on this one. My previous/older ones fit perfectly. I ordered the same size and it was a total disaster with the new pair. Wasnt worth sending them back for a return. Very disappointed and wont be purchasing again.
Buyer Beware! Trashed in 30 days and no credit from Simms
I am surprised Simms still sells these booties. I trashed a pair in 30 days of use on a mix of sand, coral and rocks. In reply to an earlier negative review Simms wrote that these booties are intended for use on sand flats. Simms omitting to mention that in their sales literature. Warning: When used on sand the booties fill up with sand which makes for very uncomfortable wading. I requested that Simms gives a credit for the booties which I would use to upgrade to their Flat Sneakers. Simms declined this, reasoning that it was not a material fault. In the end my embarrassed local tackle shop gave the requested credit on their own account. Very poor customer service.
When fishing the flats for bonefish and tarpon sand got in the zipper and the zipper would work. It took me and the guide 25-30 minutes to get the boots off me. I cleaned sand from the for a long but it was almost impossible to get it all out and the zippers never did work well
Little tight for my wide feet but worth every penny. Only dropped one star because it would be perfect if they offered in a wide. I wade fish on oysters with a fast moving current and these are the best boots I have owned. Used much boots before that worked great also but once the water got too high I wasn’t able to use them anymore that day. This is a great replacement.
I flats fish and guide for my own company in swfl these boots are comfortable easy to clean durable I walk across sand oyster bars shell a occasional stingrays and these boots are so great I can wear them all day no fatigue or worries of damaging my feet. There so good I did Ia review on my YouTube channel about them. Waist deep wade fishing swfl heres the link https://youtu.be/T3xaOIAGycM... thanks Simms these flats boots are the best
I bought them with the intention that they would fit over the stocking foot of my Simms waders and inside dive flippers when I go float tube fishing, but neither of those cases turned out to be true. I think they are really only for wet wading in shorts, so I hope to be able to use them at the beach after the stripers arrive later this spring. I will probably have to get some dive boots to use with my dive fins and float tube.
Great construction. A solid bootie but I can't wear even two sizes larger . Not only is the bootie way undersized, it's much too narrow. Very disappointed. The competition's bootie seems too light but I seem to have no choice. 🤐
Great purchase, make sure you buy the correct size.
I cannot say enough wonderful things, they worked great. I am writing the review to advise others to try on several sizes to find the right fit. I have been wearing this type of wading shoe for years and with this one I ended up buying two sizes larger then my normal. I think with the quality of Simms these will also last many years.
These are great boots but you need to order at least a size bigger than your shoe size, even a size and a half if you can.
I stripped out all the insole materials and got it so that i could wade for an hour or two and then fished from the boat in bare feet which is my preference
2 weeks in Christmas Island and these were trashed. They were reasonably comfortable (I say about a 1/2 size small). Could daily see them wearing down until they wore thru in the heel. I should have taken a photo. Probably good for softer non-coral bottoms. These are too soft for serious walking
Have tried them on the flats in ascension bay and they worked great so far. Like some other reviewers I found they fit very tight. I wear size 11 street shoe, ordered 12 to wear with thin wading socks, but can only wear socks if the insoles are removed. I would order two sizes up if I was to do it again
The bootie is very comfortable and easy to walk the flats in Andros. They would have received 5 stars except the zippers became stuck each time I wore them. Sand would jam them and I would have to slide them off. Flushing them with fresh water would eventually free them up.
My review after 3 months of use wading inshore in SW FL.

Common Bottom Conditions:
- Sand
- Loose Shell
- Sticky Mud
- Lime Stone
- Edges of Oyster Bars

Most trips inshore here in Pine Island Sound require sometime in the water. Chasing redfish and snook deep in the back country sticks your feet into a variety of conditions. The Zipit Bootie II have done a great job keeping my feet safe and keeping shells and debris out. Very comfortable for extended wear and reasonably cool in Florida heat. (I will normally unzip them when running from spot to spot).

From the ankle up, the bootie is a nice, tight fit. It's great for staying on your foot in nasty mud and keeping shells rocks out at the same time.

I try my best to avoid walking through oyster bars, as these little grey razor blades will chop up any shoe, but with careful exposure, the exterior doesn't show any tears or rips.

Highly recommended for Florida wading.
