A virtual walking sleeping bag that’s 100% waterproof, the Incinerator Jacket brings two crucial firsts to the whitetail world: It is the first whitetail jacket ever to be insulated with warm when- wet PrimaLoft® Silver Down Blend, and it’s the first jacket with a waterproof safety harness pass-through port. The 3-layer GORE-TEX® membrane is wrapped with a perceptibly quiet, lightly brushed face fabric, internal cuffs seal off heat leakage, and a YKK waterproof front zipper ensures you’ll stay dry.
This jackets outer material makes to much noise for Whitetail hunting. A lot of this hunting gear is designed for walking not sitting small pockets. Colder it gets more noise it makes. For the price not worth it. Rate a 3
Frankly I'm sick and tired of people writing bad reviews on items they simply can't afford. I have the jacket and bibs for years and I also have Sitka's rain gear. The Incinerator for anything under 40 degrees is what I wear. Make no mistake about it. It's so incredibly warm that it takes some time getting used to walking into your stand without getting overheated. I make sure to not shower an hour before heading out so my pores are not still completely open. I make sure to ventilate the bibs by opening the zipper on the legs outside so your body acclimates to the temperature outside and also make sure you do things in a manner that keeps your body temperature down so you don't overheat going into your stand. I've hunted in the Incinerator system in 10 degree weather and 25 mph winds so it was well below zero. I was able to last for 5 hours easily before I headed out. I could have sat all day if I wanted but my wife on Thanksgiving would not have been so happy. I also, hunt with a gerber heated jacket underneath. Since I sit the entire time the gerber jacket only heats up in a different way by not using direct heat. Anyway, I'm so unbelievably comfortable it's like being in your home yet I'm in bitter cold temps. I'd also like to add this Sitka system has fantastic zippers. I no longer buy hunting gear year after year because of this. This is hands down the best cold weather gear I will ever use or own. Period, period, period. LOL
I purchased the Incinerator Jacket and matching bibs last winter after hunting season. These products appeared to have impressive credentials/features. I find them to be well constructed and have a well researched and tested Camo pattern in particular for the whitetail woods. However, for the price, two features need significant improvement: 1- The fabric is entirely too noisy for the whitetail woods. 2- Insulation is lacking in the arms of the jacket, period. I understand that layering is still important even with the features of Sitka gear. But, sorry, this is a flaw. Bottom line: Is it really worth the steep price?
