I purchased this for my husband who is a hunter and is outdoors all fall and most of the winter. He loves the fit and durability of these. He has tried other brands and was not happy with other brand. These are his go to brand!
I do service work so I am outside all day. I have 6 pair of the old 4.0 waffle style and swear by them. I have worn them in -35 wind chill could hardly move my fingers and toes but body was warm. Not real impressed with these got 2 new pair this year. I got the same size I had before but because they are not a semi compression fit a large is actually to big. But that was my fault for not looking to see they changed the material. Question Why is it when a company has great items that do what they are supposed to do they decide to change them? Especially to a substandard item and for this kind a price. 2 new pair of long johns cost me 2 days labor.
Wore in 20 degree weather under some sweat pants. Man, l was toasty. I will wear in even colder! Past 45 degrees may be a little too warm for these but below 40 I’ve been happy. Extremely satisfied to be able to disc golf through winter without so many layers, thanks to these. I had originally ordered a small but exchanged for a medium. I am 5’7” 150ish lbs and the medium is perfect.
Doesn’t work at all my legs were still cold it’s like I wasn’t even wearing them they do nothing I will never buy underarmour again and it was only 35 degrees out and they did nothing for me waist of money I am looking somewhere else for thermals
Purchased both top & bottom 4.0 products last winter. Absolutely wish I had these long ago. Work is outside in all New England elements no matter the temps. My normal sizes in both bottom and top fit a little snugger than I'd prefer but will buy the next set a size larger. Awesome, extremely warm and well worth the price.
Have had the same pair for 4 years now. Still in good shape. Wear them every single day through winter. They work amazing. Working construction in minus -20 I am nice and warm. The are not wind resistant at all but they work great under jeans. Never had to add any extra bulk. I pair it with the matching long sleeve shirt. Feels like I'm in a nice cozy sleeping bag all winter.
I saw they fit large in review but I found the opposite. I am large and had to get 2xl. I found they were smaller then size so I had to go up.
I don't know where to start.... I'll start with the pro(). yes, not plural... 1.)They feel warm.
Now lets talk about the negatives. Im 6'5 and UA struggles to know what inseams should be. I tried these on and they fit like 3/4" leggings. If you are over 6'1 I'd say these will not fit your inseam. Why did I try these? Well because UA fails to support tall sizes in warmth. So in order to get a base layer 4.0 warmth I need to order a 30" inseam?... What a joke. The waist/crotch fit is terrible. I'm a 36" waist and they fit like UA wants you to wear a diaper underneath these things. the wasit band fits fine, but from that point to the manly region there's so much room I would be surprised if i couldn't fit a basketball in there...
WHO IS THE TARGET BODY YOU ARE TRYING TARGET WITH THESE THINGS..... if you have a thin body, expect the legs to fit, and the crotch area to be be able to hold a basketball...
UA needs to do some research on inseams, and what customers want. People would rather have bunchy ankles than a 4" gap between their ankles and leggings ESPECIALLY IN COLDGEAR WHERE YOUR TRYING TO STAY WARM... Please make 36" Inseams.... as your TALL options. Anyone who is considered tall is 6'4+ with that being said 6'4 people CANNOT wear 30" inseams.. PLEASE FIX YOUR INSEAM SIZES.
