I have had 3 of these shoes & just about wear one pairs everyday. I love the look& comfort of these shoes, but they do not last but about 10 months & the exterior soul of the shoe is worn out. I do not go running, hiking or playing sports in these, they are just everyday shoes as I work in a causal dress office environment. Very displeased with the performance of the shoe.
These shoes are comfortable and fit nicely. But DO NOT wear them without socks! I did for about 30 minutes and my heels were totally cut up and in extreme pain. Good news the blood came out of the shoes easily.
These shoes are lightweight, comfortable and look great. I love how easy they are to slip on and off. The soles are a little slippery on wet surfaces, so be careful. Also, the bottom seems totbe wearing a little faster than they should, but will see how they continue to hold up with time. Aside from that, I think these shoes are fantastic. I like them so much I got another pair in a different color.
So I purchased this shoe at the UA outlet. Fits a bit small but pretty comfortable, just go 1/2 size up... I got this right before a job interview and it's been 3 months and the soles are wearing out very fast with normal use. I took it back to the outlet to see what they can do and they said since it's kinda dirty they can't help me. I just wanted to exchange it, maybe I had a bad batch of shoes. Bummer... I really liked the UA brand.
These shoes are very comfortable and lightweight. Typically, I wear a shoe between 10.5-11, and I went to the store to try them on before purchasing online. A size 11 was too big and my heel was flipping out of them. The size 10 was a little snug, but I read that they typically break in and fit better. If you were a half size, I would recommend sizing down. Overall though, great shoes.
I love these shoes they are comfortable, stylish, and look great. I've gotten a bunch of compliments on how good looking these shoes are and I'm very happy about this purchase. One thing I didn't realize is that the laces are just for show and these are slip on.
Great Style but Rough Material for the Feet and Ankles
These are a great shoe style-wise! And I really wanted to love them but unfortunately I think they fell aside in the performance department. For me, these shoes fit well, are light and work with my style. Unfortunately, Under Armour still needs to learn about the performance issues with making a shoe for wearing with no socks. The material along your ankle and heel is WAY too rough and will shred your heel up within minutes. I wore these shoes (without socks) on a day trip to the city and within 20-30 minutes of walking, my back heel was already getting cut up by the material. After a few hours, my girlfriend pointed out my heel was bleeding. Honestly, if Under Armour added a little slip of leather in the heel or at least worked with more feet-friendly material around the ankle it could've gone a LONG way. Avoid this shoe or wear with socks only.
I bought the Downtown Green slides and absolutely love the color. It's a tad darker than in the photos, which I like. Super lightweight, comfortable, and I love the fact I don't have to touch the laces to get in and out of them. Time will tell if they stand up quality wise, but overall I'm impressed.
This is my third pair of these shoes. I wear them to work since they look professional enough for the office but are WAY more comfortable than any other work shoes I've owned. I'm sure I'll be getting a fourth pair once these ones are worn to death.
Let me start by saying how light and comfortable these shoes were. They are ideal for what i do, business casual. until i walked in to my kitchen and slid across the floor. Zero grip. had to send then back
The shoe is exactly as described. Nice to slip into and the show is snug. Only downside is that the back of the shoe rubs against the back of my ankle and caused blistering. I think after they get broken in that should soften the back edging. It's okay if you are wearing socks, but not barefoot for the first couple of weeks.
These have got to be the lightest shoes i've ever owned. Not only are they super light, but they're also really casually stylish. I was surprised that UA made a pretty nice casual shoe, and the logo is subtle. It's also a slip on and the laces are more like an elastic that keep the shoes secured to your foot. Keep in mind these shoes run pretty flat with not much arch support, similar to other skateboard/casual looking shoes. The real comfort test will be after a few weeks of break in. I'll update this review if necessary. Lastly, the size seems to be exact sizing. I typically wear a size 9 and there is usually a little wiggle room, but these are snug. But they're a slip on shoe so I would prefer it to be more snug than loose. So far, I'm loving this shoe!
Really comfortable shoes that are extremely lightweight. Not having to tie laces is perfect because I like the clean cut look. For a lifestyle shoe, these shoes have fairly decent support and I find I can walk in them without my feet getting sore like my old shoes. Buying another pair mainly because of the comfort and slip on feature
I have the older Encounters and I love them because the UA logo isn't massive. Much more stylish when it is smaller and out of the way. I have a lot of people ask what kind of shoes they are and they are usually surprised when I say UnderArmour. I get marketing and branding but make the UA logo smaller and out of the way (or just put it on the bottom of the shoe) and they will look better. This goes for most of UA shoes.
Still love the comfort and ease of Encounters. Wear them all the time with a lot of different outfits. Hope the Encounter Vs fulfill my request.
