Would run for 1 second then shut off. Removed the brush cutter weed eater ran fine. Put it back on same thing. One word junk! Now taking it in to see why it's doing that. Owned for 7 months, weed eater is great. Used the cutter once . It works best for items up to about 1/2 inch diameter but will cut trees and limbs to at least an inch in diameter with some effort. It works best on the high speed setting of the powerhead. Battery life with the Forge 8 Ah battery is acceptable to me giving between 30 and 60 minutes of run time depending on how heavy of material I am cutting. Battery recharge time from dead to full on the Rapid Charger is good at about 75 minutes and even better on the Super Charger at about 40 minutes. This brush cutter coupled with my Quik Lok weed eater, my Hackzall, and my Hatchet 8 inch pruning saw takes care of virtually all of my pruning and cutting chores. The weight of the brush cutter on the powerhead is reasonable to me and it is well balanced. How long the blade remains sharp depends on how tough of material you cut. Cutting large diameter hard dead wood will dull the blade more quickly. Fortunately you can flip the blade for a fresh set of sharp blades. It should also be possible to resharpen the blade.
