I immediately noticed that the handles will not open very far to get a grip on an odd shape. what other brands would be able to do. Also the adjustment pin sticks out the one side way too far. It would be impossible to insert in a tight spot or if you were against a flat surface it would be pushing the pin and not staying adjusted. Very unhappy. On the phone now to customer service to see what they will do. Of course it's music for 10 min. now.","textLength":487,"csFlag":false,"inappropriateFlag":false,"reviewedFlag":false,"autoModerated":false,"published":true,"incentivized":false,"upVotes":0,"downVotes":0,"orderId":null,"dimensions":[],"responses":[],"tags":[],"media":{"photo":[],"video":[],"audio":[]},"user":{"nickName":"Old timer 1","firstName":null,"lastName":null,"emailAddress":null,"externalId":null,"city":null,"state":null,"country":null,"ageRange":null,"badge":null,"shopperProfiles":[]},"reviewedDate":null,"purchaseDate":null,"dateCreated":"2025-07-08T00:00:00-04:00","customData":[],"incentiveType":null,"campaign":null,"deviceFingerprint":null,"topics":[{"name":"grip design","score":0.52},{"name":"nut grip","score":0.44},{"name":"quick adjustment","score":0.49}],"syndication":{"sourceName":"Milwaukee","siteUrl":"https://www.milwaukeetool.com","logoUrl":"https://images.turnto.com/site/syndicationlogos/1494_LH48.png"},"catalogItems":[{"sku":"999458-48-22-6210","title":"Milwaukee Ream & Punch 10 in Forged Alloy Steel Hex Jaw Pliers","url":"https://www.scheels.com/p/999458-48-22-6210","category":"pliers","reviewCount":10,"ratingCount":10,"averageRating":2.8,"ratingBreakdown":{"1":1,"2":4,"3":3,"4":0,"5":2},"active":true,"attributes":[]}]},{"id":5925995,"locale":"en_US","rating":3,"title":"Subpar for Milwaukee’s usual high standards.","text":"I recently purchased a set of these from Home Depot and was very disappointed. I thought I was going to upgrade from my 10” Vise Grip quick adjust pliers I’ve been using for the past 5 years, but realized it was a major downgrade almost as soon as I opened the packaging. Despite being nearly half of the thickness of the Vise Grips on the jaw, the push button on the Milwaukees was STILL the widest part of either tool. It makes the slim head almost useless.\n\n This one might be a personal preference depending on what kind of work you’re doing with them, but the jaw locks in position both ways unless you press the button. I’m used to the Vise Grip design, where the jaws lock open and can be easily pushed closed without pressing the button. This is great for tight quarters or quick, minor adjustments. It’s one of my favorite features that I didn’t know I would miss so much.\n\n Another thing is how small the V jaw is and how it doesn’t make a perfect hex when gripping certain nuts and bolts. Trying to grip onto anything round is also difficult unless you’re in a wide open space. After these revelations had planned to keep them as a back up until I did some plumbing with them. I need to get into a tight space to remove a compression fitting and the push button adjustment kept getting bumped, causing the pliers to fall out of the adjustment I needed. \n\n This was the first Milwaukee tool that I’ve ever bought that didn’t exceed expectations. In my opinion, these pliers need a major redesign. It’s a shame because their groove locking pliers has a more traditional design and seem like they would be perfect if they were offered with a “slim” push button quick adjustment and a V jaw. I ended up returning them after a couple days of trying to like them.","textLength":1768,"csFlag":false,"inappropriateFlag":false,"reviewedFlag":false,"autoModerated":false,"published":true,"incentivized":false,"upVotes":0,"downVotes":0,"orderId":null,"dimensions":[],"responses":[],"tags":[],"media":{"photo":[],"video":[],"audio":[]},"user":{"nickName":"Nick J.
