The first one, now many years old and still going strong, has a single attachment point at its top, which enables you to hang the bag from a tree or inside a tent. The new Dromedary doesn't have a single-point attachment, and if you try to hang it from the webbing straps, it collapses upon itself. Holding it up by hand when filled with 10 L of water, and aiming the water stream into a water bottle, is an exercise in frustration. It's also nigh unto impossible to carry as a backpack. The small attachment cord on the cap does nothing but get in the way and makes unscrewing the cap difficult. The DromLite bags have the single-point attachment. Why not the burlier bag? Cleaning is easy enough, and I store them in my freezer between uses.
