Has accompanied me, without fail, on many days of hunting caribou, goat, bear, moose, ptarmigan, and hare in the big mountain ranges of Alaska. My Vortex 1300 rangefinder fits in the small front pocket, with Leupold 10x42 in main bino chamber. I rigged a holster for my Springfield XDM 10mm to the webbing on the bottom. Perfect setup for me.
I got this because my wife liked the other bino harness I bought, and she hunts more than me. Hopefully I can use it before she takes it over! I've used it only a few times for a late season cow elk tag, and maybe my svelte body structure means that I don't have the same short strap issues as others. It fit quite well over differing layers no problem. I can't see really getting our range finder into the side pocket and being able to use it effectively, but it fits some 10 x 42 Nikon Pro binos quite well. I like the overall setup, but yes, the side pockets are a bit small. The zippered pocket on the front is great for tags, tho.
I have been using this for a few weeks for MZ season. I like the protection without having to mess with lens caps etc. holds close and tight, I am currently trying to figure out how to attaqch my rangefinder to the bottom Molle straps... the side pouches hold windicator perfectly. I like that it has a small zippered pouch with room for keys, exam gloves and my tag. It is just big enough to hold my 10x burris euro diamonds.
Used at the end of hunting season, and I only wish I would have bought it sooner. Great material and fit (I found strap length to be great for both my husband and I). Will be purchasing the bear spray attachment in the future.
Although most whitetail hunters will never need this, I still use it while hunting whitetail with a bow. The magnetic button is surprisingly noisy when pulling out the binos or putting them back in. The quick access needed for bow hunting isn’t ideal for this harness because it opens facing out, rather than in. Definitely not the easiest harness to access the binos when in a hurry.
Besides those critiques, I love the look, fit, and side pocket. Honestly, the harness could be perfect for whitetail bow hunting (minus the critiques) because you have all you need on your chest. I keep my binos in the main compartment, my grunt tube and wind checker on the left pocket, and my range finder on the right pocket. I use to keep everything in my chest pocket or hoodie pocket. This makes things so convenient.
The product was VERY GOOD but my binocular was too big for the item. The return policy was AWESOME and fast. THANK YOU is not enough to say for the quick response and reply...
I have some 10x50 nikon binos that are huge. they are snug but do fit in the large quick draw. You will want to add the bear spray harness as I quickly discovered the bottom of the bino harness is a good spot for your spray.
I bought this a month ago and have used it a half-dozen times so far. It fits my Bushnell Prime 10x42 binos great. The front zipper pocket holds my phone and tags. I wish the side pockets were a little taller. I don't really use them for anything cause they're pretty short. Overall I'm really happy with it and I would purchase again.
I took my time in deciding on a bino harness upgrade, and I'm glad i did. Everything was as promised. It is really easy to use, so movements are smoother when you are in the field, and you can easily operate it while not looking, which is great if you are keeping your eyes on suspicious area. The inside material is really kind to your binos. The latch is very quiet. Its extremely comfortable, and is elegant in its simplicity to adjust it. If you have a small range finder, it fits in the front pouch, while you can easily put a wind-checker in one side pouch, and I carry a few grouse arrow tips in the other. My favourite feature is the molli-web option beneath for bear spray. Fortunately I haven't had to spray a bear so far this season, but i have 'drawn' the spray and it felt way faster and it just felt more confident than having it on the hip.
I have a set of Leupold 8 X 42 BX-3 Mojave bioculars. I purchased the medium size Quick Draw, and the binoculars fit fine, even with the eye cups fully extended. I am about 5' 07" 180 lb and the harness fits me.
I bought this bino harness a couple months ago. Well worth the money. The medium fits 10x42 binoculars great. Exterior pockets offer space for calls and windage powder. Great harness, solidly built as you would expect from mystery ranch! Reminds me of Dana designs of old.
They seemed nice for the binoculars but the straps are too small around your body. If you wear a size medium they may be ok for you with a heavy coat. If they had longer straps I would have kept
I have a SIG Kilo 2200MR range finder that I think could fit in the side pocket a little better. Could also be a keeper like the GPS and Range Finder holsters have. I dummy cord my range finder to the harness strap, but a little extra protection would be nice.
I have had several other bino cases in the last few years and this one is by far my favorite. I had the Sitka and Badlands versions before and had gripes about both of them. This one is quiet, comfortable, and silent. It is never in the way and doesn't bob up and down when you are hiking. It even stayed stable when I was running after a bull that beat me to a ridge this September. I carry Vortex Razor 10x42 glass and it fits perfectly. I can't say enough good things about this case!
I was skeptical of this harness at first with the lid having to fold back. But after many days wearing it in the field it typically stays in place when I have it folded back and have quick access to my binos. The only drawback I've found is that my Swaro 10X42 EL Range's are a bit too thick for the dimensions on the pocket and sometimes cause a small squeak taking them out or putting them back in. I especially enjoy the bottom PALS attachments and run a Kydex IWB holster where the pistol is in a perfect position for a quick retrieval and presentation should I need it. The side pouches fit my Garmin Inreach on one side and smoke bottle / mouth reed on the other. The front pouch houses my tags and optical cleaning supplies. I've tried Muley Freak, Sitka, KIUI and Badlands and this has been the one that works for me. Protip: remove your bino's and insert a gallon Ziplock bag and pick huckleberries both handed.
Main pocket is deep and fits a pair of size 10X50vortex binos. The straps are functional but a little snug for people with larger upper bodies. Pockets are well placed just wish the side ones were slightly larger.
I bought this because it looked the the "lid" gave good weather protection to the Binoculars. Sadly the case arrived with a too short harness. To there credit, the Mystery Ranch folks acknowledged the problem and assembled and shipped me two harness strap inserts. Looking forward to trying the Harness on fall outings.
I’ve only used this harness on one 4 day elk hunt but here’s my opinion so far:
Pros- durable (so far), simple, well placed pockets, comfortable even with a pack, bino leash is a nice feature and easy to attach/detach, Medium fits 10 x 42’s perfectly
Cons- I’m nitpicking here. The straps that connect around torso are rigid webbing, it could be more comfortable if they were elastic to keep the harness close to the body while breathing heavily. The magnetic snap closure isn’t perfect - it “clicks” when closing. While this may seem minute, it can be relatively loud and unnatural sounding when close to animals. Also, when pulling the tab down to close the harness it can pull the harness itself away from your body and be difficult to close without looking or using two hands.
Side note: The grey/green color option is more green than grey in person.
Overall I’m very happy with the product and would buy it again.
Absolutely love it, I had purchased the kuiu bino harness, and the thing is garbage, worst design ever. Very pleased with easy and function of mystery ranch’s design!
Very well built as expected from Mystery Ranch but the lid needs to open towards the front. Doesn't really tuck in nicely once you fold it open, the load straps get in the way. Fabric is bomber and the whole unit sits well on the chest. Only issue is when you open the lid and there is no place to "put it"
Mystery Ranch makes great gear, and the bino harness is no exception. I like how it fits higher on my chest than other brands, which makes it more comfortable for all-day carry. Only thing on my wish list is a quieter latch system.
Large fits my 12x50 Vortex perfectly, not too snug. I am 6'1" 200# and the straps fit fine over mulriple layers and a puffy coat. Pockets are super handy. Magnet click can be fairly loud but is manageable. Seems very durable.
I’ve only worn this on the 3D archery range but it’s comfortable, in fact I don’t even notice it. The straps don’t interfere with my day pack and I like the simplistic design. It will be coming out on my 14 day mule deer hunt next month.
I have only used it a few times, but so far, so good. The fit, function, and construction are all top notch. I run Vortex Razor 10x42 and they fit great in the smaller size. If you have anything bigger, you will need the large size. Mine fit snug with no extra room which is nice as it keeps them from flopping around when hiking.
I love this harness so much. I bought the Medium size and found it a little snugger fit for my binos, at first, than I had imagined... I had to take the lens caps and stuff off to get my 10x42 Swarovskis to slide in smoothly, but I turned out not to mind that very much because it's an awesome product and it's easier to have those off for quick glassing anyhow. Now, I'm glad it's snug because it holds my binos so securely. I bought the Large size for my dad who has 10x42 Leica rangefinder binos which are a little longer (and he likes to have the eye cups extended), as his wouldn't fit length-wise very well in the Medium. But, aside from finding the right size for your binos, this is a great product. I am 6' 190lbs and had no trouble fitting this thing to my chest just fine, and it can even fit over a light jacket or insulated layer no problem (a real puffy jacket might conceivably start stretching the shoulder straps' range, but I am not too worried about it). I am not bothered by a few loose strap ends like some other reviewers... you can fashion or buy some strap keepers if you really need to, or trim them. And I love the magnetic closing clasp. The quality is great, the fit is comfortable and you forget it's even there. Zero chafing or strap conflict even with my big hunting pack over the top of the harness. If you are wearing this over a slippery layer like a rain coat, it wants to slip down your chest a little bit but that's a nit-picky thing that would happen with any harness -- wearing a pack over it solves that, and I'm not often wearing a rain coat hunting. The pockets are a nice addition if the size of them works for you... my rangefinder fits OK in the side pockets. The front zipper pocket is secure although my rangefinder is a little bulky in there... my phone almost fits in there if I bring it. If there was one thing I would add is that I wish the soft material on the sides of the lid draped a little lower down the side to close off the top of the harness just a bit more from dust and stuff (when the lid is closed, there is a bit of a gap on the sides where you can see into the bino compartment -- I think this is part of the way that they make the lid so easy to open and get the binos out, but I wonder if there is a way to drape it a little lower to keep stuff out of there). Just buy this thing, if you are looking for a bino harness. It's exactly what you want.
Haven't used this in the field yet, but quality seems good. I mainly got this because the dimensions would fit my binos, which are fairly wide (porro bino).
I bought my Bino harness years ago and have drug it though some of the roughest country central and southern Arizona can offer. In that time I have had no serious problems with it. The front zipper pouch is very good to keep my license, tags, and trail can SD cards. The side pouches are good for game calls Compass, and wind indicator powder... They are not good for a range finder though. I have bought the range finder pouch and attached it to the side. I would like to see a newer version that can have the ability to attach the range finder pouch though. My final review comment is that my Bino harness is a medium but can hold my Vortex Diamondback 12X50 Bino’s with no problem. Overall I’m happy with the product
I have 3 of these now I like the features and how they protect my binoculars the only thing that they could improve is the strap that goes around your body could be a little longer you could at least trim it up if it was to long but it is hard to add to it but other than that one thing very happy with them
Bino harness is fine, better than some worse than other, and on the more expensive end.
Problem is mine was missing the clips to hold the binos onto the strap. The clips are free but shipping isn't. I was quoted $30 to have new clips sent to me. Ended up getting almost identical clips elsewhere which I paid for but we're much ch part total. This incident along with a few other poor experiences (rifle Sling that won't stay one your shoulder) I will be looking at other brands before going back to them.
Thoughtfully Made Harness. Great Molle Attachments
Not one thing I can say negatively about this harness. It does its job well. Holster attaches perfectly. Is the third piece of clothing I put on while camping. A lot of the negative reviews are from fatties that could probably stand to lose a few pounds. I’m 6’, 210 and wear size 46 jacket. Harness fits just fine with room to adjust even outside of layers.
I've been fighting fire for twelve years and have had a Mystery Ranch pack for more than half that time. I am continuously impressed by the quality of their products which is why I bought the Quick Draw Bino Harness and Metcalf Hunting pack from Mystery Ranch.
These products are durable, well made, thoughtfully designed and user friendly.
The harness is comfortable and super handy. I've mostly been using it for glassing antlers with my Vortex Fury 10 x 42 and having my binos so easily accessible is great. Can't wait to test it out during hunting season.
Good bino harness and appreciate the subalpine pattern to go along with my outfit. The only improvement I would make if I could so far, is to put a pocket to side the range finder in and out. All other features are good.
For this for one pair of binos, like it so much I might get another to replace another brands that I have for another set of binos. Comfy ( yes it seems slim fit but works for me). Like the other pockets. The closure is quick and quite and keeps rain/ snow out. Quality.
Features I like about this harness: 1. lots of adjustable straps make it great for layering and wearing different packs 2. stretchy side pockets I use for an elk call and a wind checker 3. zippered front pocket is perfect for lens cloths 4. top closure can be moved behind the binos when weather is dry

I purchased the Quick Draw Bino harness prior to deer and elk seasons this year. It performed flawlessly over the 20 days I was able to be out! the main compartment easily swallows my 10x48s and the front zip pocket is ample for extra cartridges, wind checker, cope and a bar. I wish the bungie side pockets were a little deeper but they work as is. its quiet and the snap closure is fool proof
I bought this after looking for a year and love it Like most of the reviews it was to small with layers But after one call Mystery Ranch built me 6" extension and it is perfect Great quality great fix Now I need to order one for my son as he keeps taking it
After building no fewer than five DIY bino harnesses to solve my bino carry problem, I broke down and bought the Quick Draw. Holy cow, where have you been all my life!
Belly crawling sneaks in sagebrush: CHECK! Sprinting after moving critters without bouncy binos: CHECK! No more neck pain: CHECK! Built-in rain-proofing: CHECK! Awesome closure: CHECK! Useless extra bits: No!
I wish I'd made the switch years ago. I carry a bear spray holster on the bottom, range finder and windicator or GPS on the sides. Extraction an reinsertion of my accessories in the elastic side pouches is great; I really can't say enough about this bit of kit. Good work MR!
PS: For sale: at least five old bino harnesses I don't need any more.
