I was looking for something that could serve as a lighweight summer hydration pack (minimal, light), but was robust enough to handle winter day hikes (volumous). I am pretty picky when it comes to gear, so I did a lot of comparisions and the Scree 22 rose to the top. \r\n\r\nI went for the bright green colorway, and have had it for just over a year now. I've been very happy with this pack. I think it is a little too much pack for peak summer day hikes, but it is fantastic for the shoulder seasons or winter when I need the extra space for layers/snacks or gear. This has become my go-to pack to take on my moto, as the color is very visible and it allows plenty of room if I need to run errands. I packed it up to use as a carry on for my flight. The size is great as it fits in the scanner trays and fits under your seat. Had a couple spill their drinks on it when it was under the seat. I thought it would be stained for sure. Pulled it out and shook it and the drinks just dripped off. Wiped it off with a napkin and it is dry and like new. When I got to my destination I packed it up and used it hiking. I like how you can use the side straps to make it smaller to keep things from moving around.
