After a hundred miles or so, the two of us have settled in pretty nicely, but there are a few things that continue to distract/irritate.\n\n1. Everything that comes in contact with my body is rough and scratchy - the webbing, the shoulder straps, the netting on the back? Scratchy, scratchy, scratchy. I can even feel it through my shirt. Forget wearing a tank top.\n\n2. Another review were mentioned, the zippers on the Hip pockets are impossible to open and close one-handed.\n\n3. I would love it if the hip pockets were removable and or adjustable. My typical go-to packs have been the Osprey Talon 22 and the Kelty Redwing, with the Osprey Stratos 24 thrown into the mix. Recently I bought the Manta 24 and went on a 5-day hiking vacation to Scotland that included Arthur’s Seat summit and going to the very top of The Storr. I have to say for me, the Manta is one of the most comfortable packs I have ever used! I really, really like this pack. Where it excels is the suspension system. I was getting this weird thoracic pain/soreness with my old pack, a basic backpack with no hip belt (maybe 35L), on longer hikes. That has actually gone away with this pack after I sized it properly. It was literally night and day how much better this pack sits on my back. I recently did a hike with lots of scrambling, and I was very impressed with how well I could get this pack to secure as I was climbing and rotating my body up and down the mountain.\n\nIt has some nice features, built in rain cover, hip belt pockets, magnetic chest strap, great stuff sack on the outside, trekking pole attachments (you can attach it 2 different ways actually, I attach my trekking poles like the ice pick axe is attached in the product images). It is honestly a pretty big pack for only being 24L, but then again, the most important aspect is how that weight sits on your back and feels. This pack does it's job well.\n\nThe only gripes I have: I wish it had a daisy chain loop for lashing gear to somewhere on the front. Even just one loop besides the reflector strip near the bottom (who wants your gear to hit the ground whenever you set your pack down?). There are spots you can lash something with a carabiner, but I think Osprey could have made it easier. It's quit comfortable all around. Sits great on my lower back and snugs up great. I get no shoulder pain with this after using it for many miles. The design is amazing how it lifts off your back and allows airflow so you don't get overly hot and sweaty.\n\nMy only complaint really is that the pouch/pockets on the belt need some work on the zippers. I cannot close them one handed and I often have to reach across with my other hand to hold it to zip back up.\n\nNeeds more color options. I own many of them including the manta 24 and 34 series. These packs are great for long day hikes and makes carrying large loads a breeze due to their awesome suspension system and thick shoulder and waist padding. The only problem I have with these packs is that they are a little too big and bulky for a day pack. As a suggestion, if u guys could make a manta 22 series with the same suspension and padding it would be perfect.
