I assume I had got a defective frame or something along that line which is bound to happen sometimes but sent off pictures to outdoor edge and they answered back same day and had a new knife shipped to me within a week I couldn't believe it phenomenal service with people who stand behind their product and in my opinion these are the best way to always garentee a sharp blade in the field! Now I have to use 3 replacement blades to skin one deer . Always room for improvement.","text":"love the knife had it for over a year and put it to work! knife works great cutting and skinning. Only downfall is if you're not taking your time or paying attention the blade can easily detach from the handle. Annoying and potentially dangerous but not too often it happens. Another thing I noticed is the blade dulls out pretty quick I understand that it's supposed to be replaced but would be nice for it to last longer, maybe charge more and make a thicker blade or higher quality metal? I also recommend maybe making a knife sharpener for this blade/knife that way you can make the best use out of the blades the consumer already has, almost feels like a waste for not using the blade as much as possible. Besides that love the knife still use it to this day for every thing from hunting to making meals to even using for work. I can easily see this becoming more than a simple knife for hunting or simple use. Imagine you make different handles and blades for professional chefs or construction workers needing a reliable quick knife and don't have the time to sharpen. Sky is the limit with this knife. Another recommendation is customizing the knife. I know there is a broad blade available would be awesome to be able to use different types of blades on one handle for example a trailing point for fish, a straight end, talon point, recurve or even a kukri point and etc. I also would love to be able to swap out the handle its self. I purchased a orange handle version great if you dropped it or misplaced it, but after a while its kind of ugly and gets dirty. Hard to clean the marks off the rubber that is used. Would be awesome to be able to swap it out for wood and all of its colors for options or harden plastic or even metal. I feel like it would be more part of the owner and hold a more sentiment value. After 5 years and countless animals quartered and skinned the blade holder finally broke while boning a bull for my brother in law in Wyoming last week. Will be ordering a new one today. My only complaint and only reason i gave it 4 stars is that the button to release the blade is in a bad spot. Every time I am gutting or skinning it is inevitable that my thumb is going to hit that button while working and the blade is going to slip out. If they could figure out a different release mechanism this knife would be 5 stars in my opinion. Skinned two deer with my new Razor pro G and took one blade per deer the sharp edge kept bending and notched. Seems like it has a too long sharpened edge or metal is too soft. I have a havalon with changeable blades which edge last a long time, but they break very easily and are a pain to change that’s why I got the outdoor edge but am very disappointed with blades. This is not from abuse from hitting bone just skinning deer.
