I am so disappointed in the pursuit iv...I have purchased this rod and reel combo 5xs..I took it back to academy and exchanged it so many times I am exhausted.. I had to find a forum to share my thoughts. after one medium weight fish..the real stopped cranking , fell apart , locked up on all 5 of them. I even hooked up one time with a trophy red fish and had to put on gloves and run across 100 feet or so pulling the string the get the fish in. I will never buy this brand of rod and reel combo again, Not only is it pricey but defective. Keep in mind that I have purchased penn several times and never experienced what I have with this series of rod..I advise anyone looking to get the pursuit iv combo to find an alternative.
