Purpose is to use for fishing 100% of the time. Bottom line I like it! The seat is very large and comfortable. There is plenty of space and with side rails, molded in holding spaces and areas to add hatches there is plenty of options for customization. I was able to stand in it, but only to see if I could (over 60 years old). The stability is what I had hoped for. There are online comments that this kayak is slow. I have nothing to compare it too and frankly who cares.
