Deluxe Molded backpack system with padded shoulder straps and waist belt, all positioned perfectly on the bag so it doesn't hit the back of your legs when walking. One side has a compartment for a spinning wing decoy and poles while the other has a pocket for your shotgun. Additinal features include multiple cinch straps to tighten your load for stability or to reduce the volume of the bag for carrying less decoys. Large gate mouth opening for easy stuffing, and tough, durable construction for years of abuse. GORE OPTIFADE Marsh camouflage.
This is by far the best bag I have ever used to transport decoys and gear. For years I have used sleds to drag gear out to the marsh and always got hung up on the cattails. Once I got my hands on this bag that all changed I can carry two dozen oversized avian x mallard floaters, my SX4, and a lucky duck spinner with poles and still have my hands free. My favorite part about hands free carrying is it makes opening gates and climbing over fences a breeze. In addition I have been using this pack for two years now I have never had a buckle break or loosen up when I was walking. The pack straps that are on the bag are great because you can synch them right to you and their is no sag feeling in the bag and the decoys aren't smacking against your legs the whole walk. With that this is the most quiet way to transport decoys. All in all I would recommend this bag to anyone whether you are a weekend warrior or a full time guide this bag will " pay for itself" before the season is over I can guarantee that.
Perfect for the back Waters Public land Solo Hunter
I Hunt with my 9 yr old Son or otherwise Im solo. We hunt a lot of back woods kettle ponds and Marshes. That can be a challenge even if your only bringing a dozen floaters a spinner and couple motion Decoys. With this Pack It's So much Easier. I will have all of that along with my gun, then I strap my blind bag to the back pack and carry a 5 gallon bucket with some extra clothes and few other essentials and still have a free hand to help navigate through the dark woods. We can get a mile or so in with ease. Like 1 other guy said " It doesn't make things lighter" but is definitely the best way to manage things. This will be my 3rd Season using this pack and It looks nearly the same as when I got her. Good addition to my Duck Hunting Arsenal. Good Luck out there, be Safe, Shoot em Up.
I bought this bag and waited a year to do a review to really see if there telling the truth. They are this bag is very comfortable and well made. I have had it for a year and it still is good as new. This bag has been threw some abuse. I love this decoy bag
This is one of the most useful items I have when walking into impoundments or any long hike in areas. You can carry all of your decoys you want. The slots are big enough to double stack some decoys unless magnums. On one sided of the pack you can put your motion decoy and pole, on the other side your gun. Both fit in a pouch and then a secure velcro strap secures them in place. Keeping your hands free to use a walking stick or pole for all those soft bottom areas. Nothing worse than struggling to walk with your hands full possibly dropping your gun. The shoulder straps are comfortable and quick release clips are great. The waist belt helps distribute the weight. When it’s fully loaded it rides well on your shoulders and back. I’ve had mine for 3 years now and have not had any issues. I highly recommend if you do any type of walk in hunting , you give Refuge Runner a try. You’ll be glad you did.
Perfect for solo hunts and walk ins on public land
Mostly a solo hunter that focuses on public land. This bag works great. comfortable to do walk ins with. Holds a good amount of decoys plus the gun. Only question now is durability. Has gone thru a few Minnesota hunts and spent 7 days of heavy use out in ND. So far so good.
I have 24 duck floaters, 4 goose floaters, 2 small folding seats, a mojo, folding saw and my gun. Disclaimer the bag doesn’t make the trek in any lighter but it does ride nicer than some of my previous bags and I’m hands free outside of my blind bag. I would buy again.
Got my first use of this bag today on the opener of the Duck season. My only complaint is the pocket that holds the stock of the shotgun could be deeper as the shotgun had a tendency to sway a lot when walking. Also, if you are a large person the upper chest connector sway straps will not work.
