All my friends are using their 308. And they’re struggling to hit things at 3 to 500 yards. With this rifle that’s easy I was ringing steel at 5 to 700 Yards with this no problem I have a vortex strike eagle 5 x 25 x 56 scope and it’s a joke you can hit things so easily so far away and I’m not that great of a shooter, but it makes me look good. As far as the comment about the price, Scheels will match the price of any other vendor. They matched my price for this one so I didn’t have to order my gun in. I purchased the rifle approx 2-3 years ago and have put somewhere between 1,500 to 2,000 rounds through it. When I first started shooting the rifle, the bolt was pretty rough and thought that the bolt would eventually smooth out after break in. After about 1000 rounds the bolt felt smoother, but would jamb or the bolt would get hung up while trying to chamber a round. I upgraded the bolt with anarchary outdoors products to try to improve the smoothness of the bolt and to try to keep it from snagging while chambering. It made a little bit of improvements, but was still not as smooth as the bolts for my Remington 700s. I took it to a gunsmith to have them look at and evaluate the bolt. He was able to get it to operate smoother to where it will not hang up when chambering a round. As long as you push the bolt straight with no downward pressure it willo not get hung up. He did the best job that he could but that is the best that we can do. The tolerances between the bolt frame are not that tight and the bolt has a little bit of movement in it due to the way that the rifle is made. It is, in fact, my most accurate rifle out to distance. 200-500 yards is a joke with this thing. The photo I included was a zero confirmation at 200 yards. This rifle is awesome. Like anything else, it does come with some cons. First, it's extremely heavy. I have a Vortex Viper PST Gen 1 with a Magpul bipod. With a full magazine, you are looking at at least 12 lbs easy. My only other complaint was that the action is not the smoothest, but if you draw and reload at a normal speed, it works great. The trigger is amazing with a crisp drop and almost zero reset.
