Rip downhills hard without sacrificing the uphill efficiency of pin bindings. Salomon S/Lab Shift MNC 13 bindings are the ultimate freeride tool for those who push the boundaries of the mountain.

Features:
  • PIN toe design enables full heel rotation for efficient touring and kick turning; convenient step-in switch between ski and tour modes provides access to untracked lines
  • Made with carbon-infused PA, combined with aluminum and steel, for strong, lightweight performance-these weigh in at just 1,770 grams (3 lbs. 14.4 oz.) per pair
  • Multi Norm Certified (MNC) bindings are compatible with all ISO-compliant boots on the market-Alpine (ISO 5355), Touring (ISO 9523), GripWalk and Walk To Ride (WTR)
  • Long toe-wings absorb maximum shock, with 47 mm of elastic travel, while improving energy transfer and efficiency

Excellent for their intended use
I have only toured on these once and had excellent experiences. They are heavier than other touring bindings by design, but the downhill performance is worth it. They feel just like an alpine binding on the way down making my first tour of the season slightly easier to acclimatize to. When transitioning, due to the loose wet snowpack we currently have in the Sierras, the heel piece tended to get clogged and iced up in a hard to reach place, but that has to be my only complaint about this awesome product.

Amazing binding
The shifts are an exceptional binding combining the best of the uphill and downhill into one package. Would highly recommend for everyone wanting to get out into the back country more without sacrificing anything on the downhill.

Lightest, best ever
Lightest best binding ever, had to put on all my skis regardless of going back country or not.
