The Savage Axis II XP Rifle is engineered for quick and accurate performance in every shot. This centerfire rifle features a button-rifled barrel fine-tuned for consistent bullet rifling, delivering a flatter trajectory and more accurate shot. The factory-mounted Bushnell Banner® 3-9 x 40mm riflescope is multi-coated to prevent light reflecting off the scope for a higher-contrast field of view. The sealed O-rings on this scope keep the interior optics dry while Argon-purged lenses prevent fog from condensing on the lens, providing precise aim no matter the weather. This Savage rifle is constructed with a floating bolt head that allows the bolt face to make complete contact with the cartridge head for a more consistently powerful performance. Zero-tolerance headspace control sets the headspace to its minimum to further enhance accuracy and reliability. A unique AccuTriggerTM system on this rifle allows the user to adjust the weight of the trigger pull as well as preventing accidental discharge during drops or sudden movements.
