My wife bought this cooler for me as an anniversary present. Been very happy with the cooler. I live in Montana and I work in the oil fields of Oklahoma. I take it with me with all my food and drinks to get me through my hitch. You must prechill the cooler in order for it to keep everything cool. I use dry ice and the only problem I’ve had is my beer will freeze it gets so cold in there. I had one issue with the cooler. I opened the drain plug and to let some water out and the cap fell in the crack of my tailgate. I closed the tailgate with it in there still and crushed it by accident. Went to scheels next time I was home and they gave me the new part I needed at no charge. Very pleased with the product and service. Remember to prechill the cooler.
I bought and returned this cooler. It only holds ice for 2 days at best. Do yourself a favor and buy a yeti, orca, pelican, rtic or any other cooler than this. This cooler is made in China buyer beware.
I bought the Scheel's brand cooler in hopes of saving a hundred bucks on the name brand (vs. Yeti). The clerk spoke highly of it and I believed him. So, I bought it and headed off to our cabin up north Minnesota. We had two bags of ice in the cooler with our goodies, stuck it in the trunk and drove off. By the time we got to our cabin (5 hour drive), the bags were half melted! By that evening, the ice was completely melted. I expected it to last 4-5 days...I wouldn't buy this product, or recommend it. I've bought the Yeti Tundra and am very pleased with it's quality. Yeti is worth the name brand price.
