As in lose your mind frustration!!!!","text":"I bought this combo for my first Baitcaster. I watched many online videos about setting up and using a Baitcaster. Even so, I was concerned I was messing it up when there where constant issues. I’m was actually relieved when I read all the negative reviews on this product. The issues started with the reel reeling in rough. That progressed to not reeling line in at all but still reeling. Insult to injury was a fish took the bait and then I found there was no control over the line going back out as well. \r\nI will be returning this and letting all my Veteran and 1st Responder friends know to stay far away from this product. Shakespeare should be ashamed of putting this product out. I was a little hesitant, because of the horror stories I've read about bait casters. But, after watching a few videos on how to set up the centrifugal brake, I was practice casting with very few birds nests. The ones I did have were my fault from forgetting to use my thumb to slow the line before it landed. I have yet to take it fishing, but am excited to try. The reel stopped working entirely and is no longer usable. It came as a combo unit. I have used other Shakespeare rods and reels before, but this was the first baitcaster. We were even using a 2-3oz weight to ensure we had some resistance, but that didn't make any difference. I would love to get this replaced, but with it being a birthday gift, we don't have a receipt.
