One Of The Best!!
Received my first LEGION purchase E29R-9-LEGION w/ (3) 15rd mags back on 02/03/21 and finally got out to shoot this afternoon. This is one awesome fire arm by Sig Sauer. So glad I pulled the trigger to purchase this bad boy when I had the opportunity. Very accurate at 15 yrds and smooth trigger action. Can't wait to hit the range again.

Excellence As Always
I own both the 220 Legion and the 229 Legion along with two P320's and P365X so yes, when it comes to pistols, I am a Sig fan boy and I'll gladly say that to any Glock owner on the planet to their face because reliability and functionality are a given with Glock sure but you don't get the beauty, innovation and craftsmanship that you get from Sig, you get a plastic gun that works well, good for you, you've managed to check off the minimum I expect from my sidearm.

The Sig Legion series takes it all the way, you get everything you could ever want, reliability, performance, accuracy, dependability and I'll say it again BEAUTIFULLY crafted pistols. Top all that off with an amazing customer support center, a network of likeminded weekend operators and enthusiast not to mention an aftermarket that can keep you as busy as you want with customization and you have the best guns in the world brought you by an AMERICAN company. You can keep your little Glocks, I'd rather use one as a door stop because like most Sig customers, I expect more than just the basics and Sig delivers time and again.

Awesome gun! Gun cases, not so much.
What a great gun! Looks and feels great. The balance is perfect and accurate. Love taking this to the range. It’s pricey but I got the “Signess”. Can’t beat Sig quality. My only complaint is that the new hard case it comes with seems cheaper than the old ones, and the new soft case they send you doesn’t compare to the old ones. I guess Sig’s trying to cut cost. I prefer the old cases.

What a firearm!
I love this gun! I have had several firearms for personal carry, and by far I love this gun. Perfect balance, limited muzzle flit, and smooth as butter trigger! Its an amazing pistol and I use it for my EDC. Would highly recommend this weapon system for any buyer! Well done Sig Engineers!

P229 Legion 9mm
I recently purchased this firearm after much deliberation whether to part with my X Carry Pro.
Amazing ergonomics. DA/SA trigger on-going work in progress. Amazing action.
I have only one negative comment:
Magazines - extremely difficult to load the last round, even with an uplula.. As a consequence of this tightness, I have noticed another two issues while at the range.
1. To load a full magazine, it takes more effort to ensure its fully home.
2. With a fully loaded magazine, the cocking action appears much heavier, in fact it has failed to go into battery twice.
Self diagnosis - drop one round out of the 15 and load it, smooth as silk to press home the magazine AND it glides into battery .
I can also add, I have a Tak-mag 20 rounds magazine and no such issues observed....
I remember with my P365 I experienced a similar issue intially until I had ran a few hundred rounds through it.
Given that the Legion model is rated as the top of the food chain and it's extensive marketing, I would've expected a flawlessly operating weapon, sadly this is not the case at present.
In conclusion, I will employ my uplula to speed up the breaking in phase of these magazines and as a contingency load my magazines with 14* rounds until I will witness any changes.
Any thoughts or similar issues?
I have simultaneously reported these issues to Sig customer service department.

I currently own a 226 Legion and have been carrying it for a year or so. I now have my eyes peeled for two 229's. In the Legion format for sure. I'll pay retail if it's brand new. If it's used I'll do a grand and if I buy two, I want some swag to go with it. This particular pistol was designed for multiple targets. I've pretty much replaced my polymer pistols. I love the weight with these steel Sig's. Awesome weapon.

Finish not so great
I’ll start by saying I love this pistol I have multiple Sig guns from p365 p320xc p320c p229 two tone 1911 sxt m18 & cross I love them all BUT after only 3 weeks and couple dozen times in and out of holster at most Blackpoint holster btw the finish is coming off and after months of waiting for responses I’m told it’s normal, well it is I agree but not this fast and not with such little use for 1300$ I expected more for Sig’ elite line up
