I have owned several high-end AR rifles over the years, Daniel Defense, LWRCI, POF-USA to name a few, but never could find one that checked every box. All were great rifles and each had specific features/attributes that I liked a lot, but after looking at the M400 SDI, the value you get out of the box for the money seemed to be the best for me. When SIG announced they would be offering the M400 SDI in FDE cerakote this year, I was committed to buy one and I’m so glad I did! This rifle is amazing! It is very accurate, light, and offers all the features I want in an out-of-the box duty/patrol rifle. Literally the only thing I had to change was the muzzle device in order to run a suppressor. In addition, the SIG Infinite Guarantee they now offer is an additional plus for me as well! I have always been a fan of SIG products and this is just another great rifle from a great company! I've owned Bcm, DD, Giesellie, I even had an mcx virtus. This rifle beats them all. The trigger is phenomenal, the handguard is rigid enough that my ir equipment stays zeroed. The rifle is pretty accurate averaging .75 moa. And the weight of the rifle is perfect. Yes, it was a little more initially, but, so many things came stock, it’s really a bargain. I’m talking about the full Picatiny top rail, ambi charging handle, ambi bolt catch and release ( which I really love as a right hander), the ambi QD sling mount on the Magpull stock, and the rubber but plate on the stock. Most of these “Extras” are minor, but they all add up when you have to add them to a platform and adding shipping costs. I only added the Sig steel iron sights, a Sig Romeo 5 Red Dot, a Magpull under barrel forward grip, a Virginian laser, and a cheap 1460 lumen rechargeable flashlight ( all M-Lock mount except the optic and the iron sights which were Picatiny mount) and I have a bad ass rifle for a total of about $1,800.00. Plus, I have the Sig quality and warranty for piece of mind. I only have a little over a hundred rounds through it but so far it is everything I expected from an Sig. once zeroed at 50 yards, I was consistently firing 1 MOA with both the Red Dot and the iron sights and I’m just an average shooter. The recoil rise is very low letting you re-acquire the target rapidly, but, I did change the muzzle device to a Wilson three prong just for looks which I have not shot with yet. The rifle is very light and the trigger pull is great. I’m guessing on the lower side of the 4.5-6.0 lbs stated in the specs. Very clean break with little take-up. Fit and finish was perfect on mine with no tooling marks as some others have mentioned. I would say this rifle has more bang for the buck with the higher end manufacturers and has as many, if not more, built in features! If your thinking about buying this rifle, do it, you will not regret it!!! Worth the Money.","text":"I will start with the fact that I have a soft spot for SIG. I would put them up against most of the big expensive name brands out there. So far, there has been no FTF or any issues at all. It's a smooth operator and I trust it 100%. What I like about the company is that they are always testing and improving their products, and they seem to listen to their customers. I will say that the details of the rifle state that it has a chrome-lined barrel, mine did not come with one. Mine looks like it is a QPQ barrel finish. I put about 30+ rounds through it every weekend. It shoots like a dream. I changed out the stock buffer and spring replaced it with a more modern buffer, and changed the comp/flash hider for a good compensator. It doesn't need any changes, I shot it stock for months. I had outstanding groups but I wanted better.
