This time a P220 Legion. I love the way all my SIGs feel in my hand. They all fit like a glove. \n\nThe accuracy and craftsmanship are amazing. I started out in the Army with a 1911, and made the transition to the Beretta 92, which I never really was comfortable with. But the SIGs I own (6 of them) just feel right. \n\nMy EDC was a Mk 25, but the P220 has now taken over that spot. I just love the confidence that big 45 instills in me. \n\nMy SIGs have never had any kind of failures after thousands of rounds. And I have full confidence in them. Having owned a used sig p229 and loving both its performance and easy disassembly this was a model I've wanted for years. I finally was able to find a p220 legion 45 ACP in my area (haven't had inventory in my local shops in WA for last couple years). The shop only had the DA available; in hindsight I think the SA with its more sensitive trigger pull would be slightly more ideal. Nonetheless, my neighbor and I both shot it and loved it. As many other people have commented over the years the grips and feel of the gun are fantastic. I'd say it's more comfortable than any other pistols I own.\n\nOn a side note, after going through maybe 150 rounds, one got jammed. I was unable to remove it, so I attempted to take the gun apart. In doing so the spring and spring guide rod shot out. I found the spring nearby, but not so lucky with the guide rod. Long story short I chose to contact sig directly. Within a couple minutes I was talking to customer service and he had a replacement sent which arrived a bit early in under a week. The part's only 30$, but I was elated that with little questioning they replaced it. Consider this is a $1500-1600 gun (with tax) I was a bit disappointed in losing a part the first time I took it out. This was the only time I've ever lost something too! \n\nAll in all this the most expensive pistol I've bought thus far, but it feels great in your hand and operates well. I am a current Police firearms instructor and the DA/SA pistols still are very relevant to CCW folks. The only knock on this pistol is the terrible slide release. I've been a SIG armorer since 1987 and have no idea what SIG was thinking. Finished in a proprietary Legion gray coating and featuring custom G-10 grips with a Legion medallion, the P220 Legion is improved in nearly every way. The stainless-steel slide sports SIG SAUER Electro-Optics X-RAY high visibility day/night sights as well as front cocking serrations that provide greater purchase for cycling the action, clearing the firearm or conducting press checks.<br><br>The P220 in DA/SA includes a reduced and contoured Elite beavertail, which allows for a higher grip and a reduced profile, thus eliminating printing. More aggressive front strap checkering and additional checkering under the trigger guard enhance the grip. An X-Five undercut has been applied to the trigger guard, allowing for a higher grip and greater control. The P220 Legion also features low-profile decocking and slide-catch levers to reduce the risk of snagging. An enhanced polished action with the SRT (Short-Reset Trigger) is augmented with a Grayguns, Inc. designed P-SAIT trigger.
