The repaired pistol works flawlessly and shoots very well (just like the 365 I test fired before purchasing this one), but I’m annoyed that I was without my new firearm for a month.
I sure got a lot of “I told you so” from the guys who had recommended the Glock 43.
We took turns shooting the 365 @ 8, 10 & 15 yds., and she was immediately hitting the 6” drop plates, something she struggles with using her 238, right out of the gate. Grouping was sporadic, but still on the plate, so she says she wants this to be her EDC of choice now….LOL.
Together, we went through 150 rounds, without a single malfunction. I was 100% on the plates, at said distances, and the large majority of shots were grouped 3-4”, with a wanderer in the 5” to edge of the plate, here and there. For giggles, I went to 25 yds., the max for our pistol bays, and I was 18/26……but I’m no marksman.
I used the experience to convince my wife, “I like it so much, we should get another” …..and we’ve since added the red dot 365 XL to the mix.
I was really disappointed with the dealer misinformation on the sights and nobody taking responsibility for it. I wrote Sig saying hey, just downgrade my sights and keep the x-rays. $5 of parts would've made a customer happy, but they've got my money already, so why bother with the customer? I was warned in FB groups that Sig would leave you hanging if you did have an issue. Ah well, buyer beware.
Due to the current ammunition shortage, I have to use my current supply sparingly. To date, I have 100 rounds through the barrel. The P365 shoots great. My medium-sized hands are able to firmly grasp the firearm and I have found that curling my pinky finger underneath is more conducive to a natural grip. The curved trigger feels natural and is crisp. I love the sights. I can acquire the target easily and quickly.
These are my initial thoughts as I have owned this for a short time. For the intended purpose of concealed carry, the P365 is a great choice.
